•Assist K75 with a disturbance at the Trail Motel again. Cleared NAT.
•Speed emphasis on Bunker Ave.
•Traffic stop 600 block Bunker Ave. for speed. Cleared verbal.
•Verbal disturbance 200 block W. Cameron Ave. Cleared peace restored.
•Business alarm 300 block W. Cameron Ave. Cleared building secured.
•Foot patrol on Bunker, Main, E. Portland, S. Division, E. Market, Kellogg, E. Idaho, Station, Emerald, Hill.
•Lots and lots of foot patrol.
•Stationary radar Bunker Ave.
•Multiple citizen contact Kellogg City Park regarding park hours. Clear NAT.
•Mobile patrols of Kellogg.
•Emphasis patrols on Bunker.
•VIN inspection (from yesterday that I forgot to put in the brief).
•Dispatched to the 200 block of W. Cameron Ave. for a battery. Upon arrival I discovered no battery took place, it was just verbal and the reporting party wanted a resident to be removed. Parties ended up being separated.
•Responded to the 10 block of E. Cameron Ave. for a theft. Turned out to be a civil issue.
•Assisted Dist 2 with a broken freon line 100 block Legion Ave. Clear other agency assist.
•Emphasis on Bunker Ave.
•Placed a dog in the pound.
•Land line request for dog. Dog released from pound.
•Foot patrol Main, McKinley, W. Idaho, Bunker, Kellogg City Park.
•K74 agency assist at Weir Gulch. County had a subject fight, resist arrest, and evade capture by running through the neighborhood/mountains. Assisted with searching residences/properties (with owner’s permission) once subject attempted contact with nearby residents. Setup and remained on perimeter before clearing. Got to play out some scenes from “The Fugitive”...it was fun.
•Taser repair work (possibly, this will continue into next week as well).
•Dispatched to an animal complaint on the 500 block of W. Brown Ave. City Civil citation was issued to dog owner.
•Conducted a civil standby on the 400 block of Bunker Ave. Individual just needed to remove her property.
•Assisted County with a traffic stop on the 100 block of McKinley Ave.
•Worked on reports and follow-up.
•Multiple citizen contacts at KPD:
The 1st, individual asked for directions to the cemetery.
The 2nd wanted contact regarding a stolen vehicle. Individual was referred to other agency of where it took place.
The 3rd notified me of an unauthorized activity in city limits.
•Assisted District 2 with a exposed electrical line on the ground on the 700 block of S. Division. Turned out to be a power line inside someone’s basement.
•Dispatched to the 100 block of W. Mullan Ave. for an animal complaint. Reporting party was worried an animal was abandoned inside a vacate home. However, there was someone living inside and was taking care of the animal. No action was taken.
•Responded to Teeters Field for an unauthorized event. Individuals did not get a permit to conduct the activity and the event was disbanded.
•Assisted K79 with traffic stop 900 block Bunker Ave. Clear agency assist.
•Citizen Contact 100 Block E. Riverside for neighbor dispute. Clear NAT.
•Welfare check 100 block W. Mullan. Clear NAT.
•911 hangup/requesting welfare check 100 block E Portland. Clear NAT.
•Dispatched to threats to a child 300 block Ohio. Clear NAT.
•Dispatched to the 10 block of W. Cameron Ave. for suspicious activity. Upon arrival I made contact with 2 individuals claiming to be looking at a pickup to buy. Individuals were advised to leave the area as the business was not open. Report was taken.
•Suspicious vehicle in Kellogg dog park. Clear NAT.
•Words from the Chief: “Well it’s construction season again. This means that there will be some road construction in Kellogg. Starting sometime today (July 29) Big Sky will be tearing up Bunker Ave. by the old middle school and will be paving it sometime in the future.”
•Verbal Domestic 100 block E. Portland. Verbal only with argument being over the eviction. One party thought the other party was no longer on the lease and this is not the case. Advised to separate and pack up belongings separately if they cannot get along.
•Landline request regarding possibly missing person that may be a danger to themselves. Upon calling, the subject had returned back to where they were staying (and it was not in Kellogg anyway). Offered to have a deputy respond out there and they declined. Public assist.
•Paperwork to court/Prosecutor’s Office.
•Found bike at basketball courts. Owner claimed before 79’s arrival.
•Report of a broken car window. Negative contact with owner (not home).
•Open door on the 300 block of E. Idaho. Made contact with home owner, everything was code 4.
•Vehicle tagged for 48-hour removal 10 block of W. Mullan (expired 12-2020). I went back to the vehicle and removed the 48-hour notice (I thought dispatch said 12-2019 for expiration).
•Traffic stop 300 block E. Cameron, verbal/speed.
•Traffic stop 500 block Bunker, verbal/speed (31/25).
•Traffic stop 600 block Bunker, verbal/speed (32/25).
•Emphasis patrol Bunker Ave 1.5 hours, 2 stops with verbal warnings.
•Landline request regarding drug information. Public assist.
•VIN inspection x2 400 block W. Riverside.
•Landline regarding battery at Yoke’s. Statement and medical release faxed to be completed. Investigation pending.
•Called to a suspicious person X3 (yes, same person). Said person was coming down from whatever his drug of choice is and was having a hard time not sleeping while standing up. Finally, a friend took him in for the evening.
•Disturbance call at Shoshone Glass. RP stated that a customer’s son was yelling at him about the car. RP gone before my arrival.
•Talked to a juvenile about using their school email for inappropriate things.
•Damage to property 100 block McKinley. RP did not want a report at this time, just to make us aware.
•Welfare check 100 block W. Riverside, male subject stumbling around while walking. Made contact and subject is not under the influence of anything, has injuries to both feet and difficulty walking. Did not need medical assistance (offered and refused) was not on the roadway or a hazard. Public assist.
•Dog at large 10 block of W. Mullan/Mission area. Smaller dog has been in the area causing grief since June(ish). Unable to capture the dog (I think it has warrants), as it takes off as soon as we pull into the area (sees a cop and runs). Also the residents are unable to capture at this time as it does the same thing.
