Linda Ladone Swan, 78
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Linda Ladone Swan, 78, of Pinehurst, Idaho, passed away March 3, 2020, at the Schneidmiller Hospice House of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. She was born June 26, 1941, in Alton, Mo. Linda was the daughter of Otto and Helen (Hollis) Waller.
Linda attended schools in Alton, Mo., before moving to the Silver Valley in April 1955; she then attended schools in Kellogg.
Linda married Delmer “Del” Swan Sr. on Sept. 14, 1957, at the Pinehurst Baptist Church.
Linda had first worked at the Boat Restaurant in Smelterville as a carhop; she then worked at the Enterprise Dry Cleaners in Kellogg, the Jackass Ski Bowl as a bookkeeper and then in 1973, Del and Linda co-owned and operated Swan’s Auto in Pinehurst until 1994, when their son Dean took over the business.
Linda loved and enjoyed her family, gardening, golfing, riding horses, motorcycles, snowmobiling and sitting and enjoying their river property.
Linda is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Delmer “Del” Swan Sr. of the family home in Pinehurst; three children, Debbie and her husband, Mark Waters of Truckee, Calif., Delmer “Dean” and his wife, Heather Swan Jr. of Cataldo, Idaho, and Darin Swan and Michelle Allen of Post Falls, Idaho; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Chloetta Derr of Coeur d’Alene, Cleora Lambert of Pinehurst, Idaho, her twin sister, Glenda and her husband, Mike Sawyer of Pinehurst and Janette and her husband, Gary James of Pinehurst. Linda is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and the beloved family dog, Nina. Linda was preceded in death by her parents; one great-grandson, Michael Dean Temes and one brother, Lynn Waller.
Private family graveside services will be held at the Shoshone Memorial Gardens in Pinehurst.
