Kellogg Police Department Roll Call: March 11-18
•Handled a landline requested regarding extra patrols.
•Took another landline request regarding a disturbance on the 100 block of E. Portland Ave. Reporting party informed me the disturbance had stopped but wanted me to be aware of the issue.
•Assisted K76 with a possible unlawful entry on Flume St. Turned out it was the renter, breaking into their own residence because they forgot their key.
•Traffic stop McKinley and Hill for stop sign violation, verbal.
•Traffic stop at Bunker and Hill for headlight out, verbal for equipment.
•Called to a fight no longer in progress in the 200 block of McKinley Ave. Parties were gone on arrival.
•Motorist assist at Railroad and S. Division, they were trying to find the freeway and were lost. Cleared, public assist.
•Assisted county with a physical domestic in Pinehurst. Cleared, other agency assist.
•Called to a physical domestic in the 400 block of Bunker Ave, after arriving, it was not a domestic. Cleared, peace restored.
•Traffic stop at the I-90 access road and Division, verbal for equipment.
•Dispatched to a report of a burglary at the 200 block of Presley Ave. Cleared the home and investigated the scene. Cleared, report taken.
•Dispatched to an abandoned vehicle up for tow. The vehicle owner had gotten the vehicle registered and agreed to move it. Cleared, NAT.
•Attempted paper service. Cleared, negative contact.
•Handled a citizen contact at the Police Department regarding issues occurring in the County. Referred to other agency
•Dispatched to assist the county with a fight in progress in Pinehurst as a cover officer. Cleared, other agency assist.
•Traffic Stop at the I-90 milepost 50 off ramp with a vehicle all over the road. Cleared, verbal warning for failure to maintain lane.
•Traffic Stop at the 700 block of McKinley Ave. Cleared, verbal warning for equipment.
•Dispatched to the 100 block of Hill St. for found property. Property was recovered.
•Citizen contact on the 100 block of Kellogg Ave. regarding individuals ringing doorbells and running (ding dong ditch). Checked the area but was unable to locate anyone out and about.
•Conducted stationary patrol on the 700 block of Bunker Ave.
•Everyone obeyed traffic laws while K77 was there.
•Traffic Stop at the 400 block of W. Cameron Ave. Cleared, verbal warning for incomplete stop and fail to signal.
•Attempted paper service at the 10 block of Jacobs Gulch Rd. Cleared, paper served.
•Dispatched to a report of burglary at the 100 block of McKinley Ave. Cleared, report taken.
•Conducted an interview at the Police Department regarding the burglary case.
•Traffic Stop at the 1200 block of McKinley Ave. Cleared, verbal warning for obstructed plate and exhaust violation.
•Theft case from yesterday was determined not to have occurred in Kellogg, and the victim was referred to the appropriate agency. Cleared, referred to other agency.
•Animal complaint 400 block of W. Brown, dog was located in the 500-600 block of W. Cameron running at large. Took custody of the dog and transported to the pound.
•Traffic stop Hill and Bunker, verbal warning obstructed view, too much snow on the front windshield.
•Video migration for body cam videos.
•Assisted county with an out of control naked male holding a metal rod doing odd things, RP had locked herself in her room. As K75 arrived on scene with deputies, they made contact with the individual. It was St. Paddy’s Day weekend and K75 drew the luck of the Irish and got to place said naked man in handcuffs while he calmed down. All was code 4 until the naked man had to do a code 2. “I’ve never been so scared in my life!” Luckily the man was able to hold the code 2 until K75 could remove the cuffs”. Cleared, other agency assist.
•Traffic Stop at the I-90 milepost 51 eastbound on-ramp (violation occurred in the city). Three males were temporarily detained and one was taken into custody by the US Border Patrol. Cleared, report taken.
•Disturbance at Fairbridge Inn, verbal altercation over getting 2 rooms instead of 1. Parties were calm upon arrival and nothing physical took place. Peace restored.
•Assisted K74 with disturbance at Fairbridge. Cleared agency assist.
•Took 2 dogs into the pound from county.
•Agency Assist at Amy Lynn’s SMC needed to contact a family member regarding a patient. Cleared other agency assist.
•Traffic stop on Hill St. & I-90 cleared verbal.
•Attempt to locate given by K71, person was located prior to being able to locate them.
•Assist County/Medical with subject at the Wheel Bar in Smelterville. Subject was said to be disorderly, but was nothing of the sort and was tended to by medical.
•Report(s).
•Released 2 dogs from the pound (to owners).
•Checked out with County at the city park on Theater Road. County was code 4 with one in custody for felony drug offense, cleared.
•Called to 500 block Mission for traffic complaint. Cleared UTL.
•Citizen Contact in KPD parking lot reference malicious injury to property (vehicle). This was in the county and referred to west end deputy.
•Responded to Cedar St. in Wallace to assist SCSO for officer safety reasons as a cover unit. Wallace was experiencing a disorderly individual who ended up being placed into protective custody. K77 booked the individual’s dog into Kellogg pound due to Osburn being unavailable to take the little guy.
•Handled a landline request regarding landlord/tenant issues on the 600 block of McKinley Ave. Individual needed information regarding residency.
•Handled another landline request regarding a juvenile runaway. Issue was resolved between guardians and juvenile.
•Conducted a traffic stop on the 300 block of Chestnut. Issued a verbal warning for equipment violation.
•Dispatched to the 200 block of Oregon St. for child abuse. Established contact with multiple parties involved. Report was taken and the investigation is still on-going.
•Called to the 200 block of McKinley Ave for a suspicious circumstance. Female parked a car with no plates and left carrying many bags, vehicle is not stolen, was sold 2 years ago from previous R.O. Cleared Public Assist.
