Arlene Faye Walcker, 87

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend, Arlene Faye Walcker, 87, passed away May 13, 2020 at the Mountain Valley Nursing Home of Cascadia in Kellogg, Idaho surrounded by her family. She was born May 6, 1933 in Butte, Montana. Arlene was the daughter of William and Hulda (Bakkala) Ralph.

Arlene attended and graduated from Butte High School, class of 1951. A few years later she married the love of her life Kenneth F. Walcker on June 18, 1953. Together they raised five children. Kenneth passed away in 1993.

After moving to the Silver Valley Arlene began working at the Shoshone County Nursing Home of Silverton. She worked there until its closing and then began working at the Good Samaritan also of Silverton. She worked there until her retirement in 1995.

In her free time Arlene could be found reading. She also loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a great sense of humor and will be remembered as a warm loving person.

Arlene is survived by four children Kenneth L. Walcker, Brenda (Larry) Maupin, Jim (Michelle) Walcker and Nola (Travis) Butler. She is also survived by seven grandchildren Desi, Serene, April and husband Ryan, Crystal and husband Leonard, Brandon, Janae and Lindsay; ten great-grandchildren Ryken, Jonathan, Colton, Nicole, Blake, Dillion, Elisha, Sadie, Garrett, Kenndra and numerous nieces and nephews. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, daughter Judy Cruzan and five siblings, Frank, William, Jim, Duane, and Marion.

Cremation will take place and no service will be held per Arlene’s request.

A donation can be made in Arlene’s name to the St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
