Silver Hills Elementary School announces Kindergarten Roundup changes
OSBURN — The Wallace School District Kindergarten Roundup is next week, but with some changes.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Silver Hills Elementary School is following a similar lead as Kellogg regarding how they handle registration.
“Silver Hills Elementary is adjusting how they handle the registration process to ensure that parents, students and staff are able to remain safe,” said Pam Hinsz with SHES.
Slated for this Wednesday, parents and students will arrive at the school and wait inside their cars and a member of SHES staff will come to them with the registration paperwork.
“After you complete the paperwork, you will bring them to a table in the breezeway of the school,” Hinsz said. “You will need to bring their birth certificate and current immunization records.”
Students hoping to secure spots in the 2020/21 school year will need to be 5 years old as of Sept. 1 to register.
School officials would like to let parents know that while they are staying on schedule with their registration plans for the next school year in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, they are not guaranteeing that their current schedule and plans for the next school year are set in stone and could change as the situation changes.
For parents, it is important to remember that the only way to ensure that your student is able to participate in next year’s kindergarten classes at SHES is to get them registered so they can be assigned a class.
Silver Hills Elementary School’s Kindergarten Roundup and Registration is June 3, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and then from 3 to 6 p.m., outside in the breezeway of the school.
For more information or if you are unable to make it on June 3, please call 208-556-1556 to schedule an appointment from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
