Population explosion

| November 23, 2020 12:39 PM

Global warming threatens human life as rising sea levels cause loss of habitation. When the last Ice Age ended about 11,500 years ago, sea level was about 400 feet lower than now. Strangely, sea level 5,000 years ago was 5 to 13 feet higher than today. Logic suggests it was warmer than now.

Global cooling during the Little Ice Age — 1315 to 1880 — led to poor crops. Like dominoes, malnutrition, starvation and Black Death followed, killing half of Europe’s people.

On the flip side of global warming, the Medieval Warm Period — 950-1315 — provided good crops in Europe, leading to prosperity that enabled colonization of Greenland and Iceland. The Little Ice Age wiped them out.

World population has gained little attention but demands recognition now. During the Medieval Warm Period, about 80 percent of the people engaged in agriculture. Well-fed farmers produced children. World population of about 410 million in 1320 reached 1.5 billion in 1880 and 7.7 billion in 2020.

Worldwide panic over global warming caused by using fossil fuels to generate electricity pales in light of the population explosion. Logic suggests that worldwide population control must take place. Zero population growth should be the minimum goal. Twenty world countries have already achieved that goal. Google zero population growth and see for yourself.

Five countries with the highest population growth are Syria, Niger, Angola, Benin and Uganda. They need enlightenment.
