Kellogg Police Department Roll Call: Sept. 23-30

• Dispatched to the 100 block of W. Riverside Avenue for a stolen vehicle. Located the vehicle in the area parked. So either the owner had some friends who thought they were funny and moved the vehicle, or the owner forgot where they parked. Never found out which.

• Responded to the 600 block of Bunker Avenue for a 911 hang up. Checked the area but was unable to locate anyone in need of law enforcement assistance.

• Assisted county with fight in progress. Located suspect who was… not compliant with law enforcement. Once he was taken into custody, cleared other agency assist.

• Dispatched to Cameron Avenue for a disturbance. Cleared, other agency assist.

• V.I.N. inspection at Kellogg Police Department.

• Attempted paper service on the 700 block of Bunker Avenue and Jacobs Gulch. K77 was unable to make contact with either parties.

• Dispatched to the 700 block of W. Cameron Avenue to assist medical personnel with an unruly patient. After arrival, patient decided to cooperate.

• Conducted a V.I.N. inspection on the 700 block of W. Cameron Avenue.

• Foot patrol, Kellogg High School Football game.

• Assist K79 with traffic stop.

• Traffic stop in IGA parking lot for unsafe driving. Cleared, infraction ticket issued.

• Dispatched to the 200 block of W. Cameron Avenue for suspicious activity. Spoke with reporting party and they were concerned the individual in question was scoping out the residence and looking to break into it. Made contact with the individual and discovered they were allowed on the property and was there for a legitimate reason that did not have criminal intent.

• Dispatched to suspicious activity on the dike road between Hill Street and Bunker Avenue. Checked the area but was unable to locate anyone. All K77 found was a bunch of clothing and two personal pleasure objects (you read that twice, didn’t you). These items were located in tunnels under the interstate and on the dike road. Kept checking the area throughout the day but no one returned for their property.

• Contact requested at 100 block E. Portland reference online issues. Cleared, public assist.

• Foot patrols along the Riverside and Bunker Avenue.

• Disturbance 100 block E. Portland. Neighbors arguing with one another, told them to ignore one another or Disturbing the Peace would most likely be the next course of action.

• Animal complaint 600 block Bunker. Report of dogs fighting in parking lot, spoke with parties in the parking lot and all heard it, but did not know whom … when K74 got closer to where it was described, persons said dogs and owners were gone. Unable to locate.

• Landline request. Owner wanting to get dog out of puppy jail, dog was released at pound after fees collected. Public assist.

• Contact at the Kellogg Police Department regarding questions about juvenile issues.

• Field interview with suspicious person in front of the Plan B Feed store. Store was closed and went around the building upon seeing a patrol vehicle. Stated he was out looking for kids that took off from residence and they like to go to the store. K74 checked the building and the food trucks and did not see any signs of nefarious activity.

• Traffic stop Bunker/Hill. Verbal for distracted driving (cellphone), as well as U-turn violation.

• Assisted K77 with landline regarding dog in the pound. After collecting information and going to the pound for inspection, we do not have the dog.

• Assist county in Smelterville for an unlawful entry in progress. Cleared, assist.

• Radar patrol Cameron Avenue.

• School Patrol Bunker Avenue.

• Assisted county with warrant arrest 100 block of North. County was doing follow-up for their investigation when one subject had a warrant confirmed. Subject was taken into custody without incident. Agency assist.

• Courtesy contact/traffic enforcement at Cedar/W. Brown. Driver was pulled over to talk on the phone and had a headlight out. Advised about the headlight and they are aware as it has been replaced two times and needs to go in to a dealership for wiring issue. No warning was given as vehicle was not being driven.

• Civil papers attempted approximately six times (for two papers). Updated information on the return of both parties listed on the covers (neither will be back until at least Thursday).

• While K76 was walking to his patrol car in the PD parking lot he heard what sounded like a gun shot in the Galena Ridge area, combed over the area and could not locate anything. UTL.

• Traffic stop Bunker Avenue. Verbal.

• School patrol.

• Radar patrol E. and W. Cameron Avenue.

• Abandoned vehicle paper work.

• Domestic in progress 100 block North Avenue. One female subject taken into custody on felony warrant.

• Called to 400 block for property damage crash. Assisted with information exchange. Cleared, public assist.

• Patrolled the nice sunny streets of Kellogg trying to stay clear of the wet paint. I see some don't understand what the cones and the wet paint signs mean.

• Agency assist for taking in dogs from a vehicle crash. After checking the pound, we did not have space for two small (tiny) dogs to be housed. They were taken to Osburn.

• Citizen contact at the Kellogg Police Department regarding questions about funding assistance for bus ticket. Referred to the Shoshone County Sheriff's Office to see if they meet the criteria for financial assistance. Also directed where the bike path was located for travel to Wallace. He later showed up at the PD after not walking to Wallace. He said he spoke with the investigator and had been waiting for a deputy to give him a ride to Wallace. Sheriff's Office said Social Services at the court house has the information he needs, so he was given a ride to Wallace to go to the court in the morning.

• Called to verbal domestic/911 open line 10 block W. Mission Avenue. Verbal only.

• Domestic in progress on the 100 block of W. Riverside. Cleared, parties were separated for the night. Peace restored.
