Minichino seeks conservation district seat
John Minichino, Jr announced he’s running for the Kootenai Shoshone Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisor seat. The current executive chef at Kootenai Health acknowledges responsible countywide growth measures, local representation for property owners, water conservation practices, and tax reduction as his top campaign issues.
Minichino has served as a leader in the Kootenai Health organization over the last five years. Along with his faithful stewardship in several community-based organizations, Minichino said he has proven his fidelity to his duties. With strong strategic planning skills, patient leadership and extensive experience operating complex systems, Minichino believes he will be a constructive addition to the supervisory board.
“The Kootenai Shoshone Soil and Water District currently has strong and committed leadership who listen to property owners and farmers," said Minichino. “As the county population grows there are additional challenges and pressures on the natural resources. The rural element and agrarian history of North Idaho is evaporating and it’s important to preserve this rich land for future generations.”
