Kellogg Police Department Roll Call: Oct. 21-28
• It is the time of year again that the Kellogg Police Department will be looking for “dead Heads.” No not the Grateful Dead fans, but vehicles that have no plates, expired plates and vehicle’s in disrepair (including flat tires). We also request that all RV’s, camp trailers, boats, trailers or any other type of trailers be removed from street parking so the plow guys can do their job.
• Physical domestic in progress on the 100 block of Elm Street. Cleared, unable to locate. It might have been just in their dreams maybe.
• Patrolled in the cold.
• Assisted P&P with a search on the 100 block of W. Mullan. Cleared, other agency assist.
• Fight in progress on the 600 block of Bunker. Cleared, both parties gone on arrival/UTL.
• Courtesy transport of juveniles x3 to the 300, 400 block of Bunker and one to the Kellogg High School.
• Disturb the peace x2 on the 600 block of Bunker. Cleared, peace restored.
• K79 got another flat tire on his patrol vehicle.
• Called to a fight in progress in the 100 block of E. Portland. When on scene, a female who was wanted was recognized and taken into custody. Cleared, arrest.
• Report of possible DUI in the parking lot of Yoke's. While in checkout, Yoke's refused to sell alcohol to someone intoxicated. Just made sure they were not driving and they weren't.
• Complaint of a Washington plated vehicle blocking the roadway on Division near the apex to merge to go to Wardner. Checked the area and there were no vehicles in the road. Also spoke with a Deputy that just came down from Wardner and did not see any vehicles. Unable to Locate.
• Picked up 613 from Silver Valley Tire.
• Traffic stop 400 block Bunker Avenue. Verbal for no headlights and vehicle registration.
• Called to 411 Bunker for report of assault. Cleared, NAT.
• Domestic in progress 100 block E. Portland Avenue. Cleared, parties separated. Verbal only.
• Verbal warning for parking opposite traffic 500 block Bunker Avenue. During this contact, it was advised they were concerned someone may be inside the residence. Assisted in checking the residence, nothing found. Public assist.
• Vehicle tagged 48 removal 10 block E. Station Avenue Chamber of Commerce parking lot.
• Hey the Vikings didn’t lose this weekend. They didn’t win either, but I’m a half full kinda guy.
• Citizen contact 400 block Riverside x2 vehicles with interior dome lights on. Looked to be possible vehicle burglaries. Made contact with both owners, both vehicles were not rummaged through after a quick inspection. Cleared, NAT.
• Patrolled in the snow.
• Words from the Chief: "All, make sure you are all caught up on your reports by Monday, as I have a short week to do my Council Report. Thank you."
• Motorist assist Hill Street Conoco. K75 assisted with changing a flat tire (K74 held the light so they could see).
• Possible unlawful Entry 100 block E. Portland, unfounded.
• Tagged several vehicles on the Sunnyside of town for 48-hour removal.
• Traffic stop Division and Station Avenue. Verbal warning for cellphone use.
• Traffic stop 900 block Bunker, verbal for speed (well after school hours).
• Assist county in Osburn with domestic. Cleared upon arrival of additional deputies.
• Citizen contact at the Kellogg Police Department regarding civil standby.
• Civil standby 300 block W. Brown. Cleared, public assist.
• Motorist assist at Hill Street Conoco. Assisted with a flat tire. Cleared, public assist.
• Called to Amy Lynn's for possible unlawful entry, not in progress. Cleared, NAT.
• Assist medical at 400 block Bunker Avenue. Cleared, other agency assist.
• K75 shaved off his beard again and yes he looks funny. But this time it was for a good reason and we will forgive him this time.
• Found black lab at Dave Smith Motors. Owner was located before the dog was placed into the pound.
• Landline request. Child custody issues. Cleared, NAT.
• Spent the majority of shift trying to fix emergency lighting equipment.
• Assist county with unwanted subject in Smelterville (intoxicated and possibly in possession of firearm). Cleared once he was detained (Firearm mentioned was in a backpack and was a Co2 paintball gun that was never displayed nor brought out).
• Checked status of LifeLoc, still at the Idaho State Police lab.
• Extra patrols conducted.
• Assisted county with taking in a dog from Smelterville. Cleared, other agency assist.
• Possible prowler on the 600 block of Cameron. No prowler located.
• NIBRS prep.
• School patrol lunch break.
• Landline request. Vehicle questions. Cleared, NAT.
• Cameron Avenue. Radar patrol.
• More words from the Chief: "Just a reminder to all that it is our responsibility to shovel in front of our entryway when it snows. It was not shoveled this weekend and was a slippery mess on Monday morning." K76 that might have been for you lol.
• County assist in Ross Ranch for a person hallucinating. Person stated that his parents were on the floor unresponsive, and bugs were attacking him. Luckily neither was the case. Cleared, assist.
• Civil stand-by requested 300 block W. Brown. After speaking with all parties, no stand-by was needed (items would be left out of the residence for collection and notification would be made when the items were available).
• Civil paper attempted two times, negative contact two times. They don't want to answer the door for this one.
• Evidence work (copies of CD's made for previous investigation).
• Traffic stop 49 westbound on-ramp to I-90, verbal for lights being turned on (daytime running lights were working but nothing else).
• Traffic stop W. Cameron and Utah, verbal for headlight.
• Called to the area of Casa De Oro and DSM for a report of a hit and run, report taken.
• Traffic stop in front of Radio Brewing for crossing double yellow, verbal.
• Traffic stop on the 50 on-ramp for a headlight out, verbal.
• Traffic stop in 100 block of E. Cameron for no tail lights, verbal.
• Traffic stop at Hill Street and Cameron for headlight out, verbal.
• Traffic stop on McKinley and Main Street for out headlight. Cleared, verbal.
• Traffic stop on the 200 block of Hill Street for out taillight. Cleared, verbal.
• Traffic stop on Hill and Mission for out headlight. Cleared, verbal.
• Kellogg Police Department and County gave the Kellogg High School's volleyball team a police escort out of the city, who were on their way to state. Go Wildcats!
• Called to the 100 block of E. Portland for an unknown injury crash. Cleared, report taken.
• Responded to Subway for reports of heavy smoke coming out of the building. Cleared other (As seen on TV…well the News-Press live anyway). Cleared, assisted the hose draggers.
