Fuller Center moves forward with fundraisers

| September 14, 2020 4:17 PM

The Silver Valley Fuller Center is set to host two of its annual fundraisers this month — Ride The Wall and the Annual Walk-A-Thon.

Ride the Wall was postponed from its usual date, the longest day of the year, until September. Now because of COVID-19, it has gone virtual which means there will be no official gathering to do the event looping from The Snake Pit to the CCC and Wall Ridge Road and back to The Snake Pit. Participants will now choose when, where and how to do their “Ride.” At this time, there is no cutoff date to register.

Registration is $50, which includes the neat T-shirt and a $10 gift card from The Snake Pit. The gift card can be used for the traditional 'ride pulled pork' meal or $10 off the regular menu. Shirts and gift cards will be mailed to the participants. Online registration and printed registration are found at www.svfch.org. For more information, call Cathy Stanford at 1-208-691-5826. A photo album of participants will be posted later.

Unlike Ride the Wall, the 23rd Annual Walk-A-Thon is still on track and will be held Saturday, Sept. 19, starting at 9 a.m. in front of the Kellogg School District Resource Center (formerly the middle school) in Kellogg.

The walk is 3 miles (more or less) with pets on leashes, baby buggies, children, wheel chairs, etc., welcome. KSD and the city of Kellogg have approved holding this fun outdoor event.

Wear your mask and observe social distancing. All participants will receive a “door prize” gift donated by our local businesses.

Registration forms are available at www.svfch.org, by calling Judy at 208-682-3240 to have one mailed to you, or picked up at the event. Be sure to ask your friends, neighbors and families to sponsor you.
