Kellogg Police Department Roll Call: Sept. 9-16

  • Welfare check on the 300 block of E. Portland. Clear everything was code 4.
  • Radar Patrol Bunker Ave.
  • School patrol. First day of school.
  • Abandoned paper work.
  • Contacted an individual at KPD regarding identity theft. Individual was referred to another agency.
  • Dispatched to the 200 block of W. Cameron Ave. for unwanted subjects. Individuals were gone on my arrival and I was unable to locate.
  • Assisted K75 on the 300 block of W. Mullan Ave. for a welfare check. Discovered all parties were ok however, one individual had a warrant. K75 took that individual into custody.
  • Attempt to locate possible 8004 driver. Located said driver at the 800 block of W. Cameron Ave. cleared misdemeanor arrest for DUI.
  • School Patrol on Bunker Ave. One stop for speed. Verbal Warning.
  • Traffic stop on Hill St. for failing to stop at posted sign. K73 didn’t even have to give the guy a warning as his wife was already doing a pretty good job of telling him he didn’t stop.
  • Radar Patrol Mission Ave.
  • Parking 400 block Mullan Ave.
  • Domestic called in at the Amy Lynn's. Made contact with the people inside the apartment and found no domestic. Cleared.
  • Assisted K73 with a verbal domestic on the 100 block of E. Portland Ave.
  • Assist K79 with suspicious circumstances at Morning Star Lodge. Cleared agency assist.
  • Called to Yokes for a chair that was stolen back in June. Clear person was given a statement form.
  • Courtesy transport from Shoshone Medical Center to W. Brown. Clear Public assist.
  • Responded to a Malicious injury to property on the 400 block of W. Riverside. Report was taken.
  • Dispatched to a grand theft on the 900 block of W. Cameron Ave. Report was taken.

911 call on the 600 block of Bunker. Clear accidental 911 call.

  • Assisted County with a petit theft from Smelterville on Jacobs Gulch. Some dude stole a trike from Johnny's bar in Smelterville and made it all the way to the gondolier in Kellogg before he was caught. Yes – Homeboy pedaled down the interstate.
  • Motorist assist on I-90 M.P. 51. Individual needed assistance changing a tire.
  • Responded to a Malicious injury to property on the 400 block of W. Riverside. Report was taken.
  • Suspicious person in the Yoke's parking lot. County and ISP were already on-scene with the subject when we arrived. At the same time dispatched to an attempted vehicle burglary at the Longshot. This was the same subject/suspect for both incidents. He was taken into custody for being under the influence of narcotics in public and also charged with unlawful entry of a vehicle. K76 took the arrest.
  • Welfare check on possible suicidal subject 100 block E. Market - subject intoxicated and making statements. Other persons at residence to assist in keeping an eye, but did not show/meet any requirements of Protective Custody. Information was given for possible assistance (when not intoxicated).
  • Traffic hazard I90 - reported couch in the roadway between 49-50. Checked east and westbound 49-51 unable to locate. ISP later advised it was at 48 and not in the roadway.
  • Citizen contact @ Cameron Conoco reference questions about family member driving without a driver's license and with a child in the vehicle. Referred to other agency as this is mostly taking place in Washington and advised of Idaho laws.
  • Called to Silver Mountain for a citizen contact-Cleared N.A.T
  • Called to the Yokes parking lot for a suspicious male, Cleared arrest
  • Called to Silver Mountain for an intoxicated female in a vehicle-cleared arrest
  • Called to Silver Mountain for another contact with the same people from the first contact, however this time K76 cleared felony arrest.
  • Rooster complaint. Found said rooster on McKinley Ave. Verbal warning to owner about having roosters in the city limits.
  • Radar Patrol Bunker Ave.
  • Animal complaint - report of dog at large 1000 block McKinley - Unable to locate *This was reported to be outside the office while K74 had been standing outside the office...there was no dog.
  • Dispatched to Silver Mountain regarding incident from earlier this morning. Evidence collected and entered into evidence. Supplemental narrative completed
  • No Contact Order violation - 300 block W. Mullan. Made contact with all parties.
  • Misdemeanor cite and release - report taken.
  • Report of stolen ATV on Kellogg Ave. - upon arrival, ATV was returned. Operator was cited for operating vehicle without owner's consent, Driving Suspended, and DUI (refusal).
  • Assist county on traffic stop I90 at 48 - multiple felony warrants. Agency assist
  • Vin inspection McKinley Ave.
  • Radar Patrol Bunker Ave.
  • School Patrol.

  • Attempt to locate possible DUI eastbound on I90 - Located the vehicle in Smelterville (while attempting to position onto I90) and advised responding County units of the vehicle's location. County handled.
  • Traffic stop Hill/Legion - verbal for safe lane change (40' RV cut some people off while going to the gas station).
  • Traffic stop W. Cameron/W. Riverside - verbal for stop sign.
  • Traffic stop W. Cameron/W. Riverside - verbal for speed.
  • Contacted a subject sitting in his vehicle E. Idaho/Fir - that has a suspended license (not currently driving). Advised them of the suspension and they parked the vehicle.
  • Traffic stop Hill/W. Cameron - verbal for display front license plate and talking on cell phone.
  • Traffic stop W. Cameron/Price - verbal for cell phone use
  • Assisted County with putting a dog in the pound. Female bulldog with a black collar, found in the 600 block of West Fork in Pine Creek.
