Yvonne C. Conklin, 80

Beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Yvonne C. Conklin, 80, of Kingston, Idaho, passed away April 15, 2021, at Shoshone Medical Center in Kellogg, Idaho. She was born Sept. 11, 1940, in Watson, Okla. Yvonne was the daughter of Cleatis and Edna (Johnson) Moyer.

Yvonne moved to the Silver Valley in the 1950s from Oklahoma. She attended school in Kingston.

Yvonne was united in marriage to Jack Conklin on Jan. 27, 1978, in Superior, Mont.

Yvonne was a waitress and a bartender. She had first worked at the Shack Drive-In in Pinehurst, then Sweets and The Mint in Wallace and the Happy Landing in Smelterville. Jack and Yvonne then operated and managed Albert’s Place in Enaville for eight years. And finally for 28 years, Yvonne and Jack owned and operated The Hill Top in Kingston.

Yvonne loved and enjoyed visiting casinos, going for car rides, and visiting with customers and friends throughout her working years.

Yvonne is survived by her beloved husband of 43 years, Jack Conklin of the family home in Kingston; two children, Jim (Karen) Wild of Seattle, Wash., and Marty Nearing of Washington; and four grandchildren, Jack Rowley, Eli Harigan, Cameron and Lauren Wild. She is also survived by a favorite niece, Connie McCombs. Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Sheila Conklin; three sisters, Maxine, Geraldine and Wanda; and two brothers, Ivis and David Moyer.

Private family graveside services will be held.

Yvonne was very loved by Jack and her family. She had a strong faith in God and will be truly missed.
