Kellogg Police Department Roll Call: April 14-21
• Landline request regarding indecent exposure, subject was seen nude on a balcony in one of the condos at Silver. Cleared, neg. contact.
• Assisted medical in the 600 block of Bunker Avenue for an unconscious female. Cleared, other agency assist.
• Called to Shoshone Medical Center for a combative female patient. After contacting the individual, they became combative with police. Female was taken into custody for battery on an officer. Cleared, arrest.
• Traffic stop in the feed store parking lot for no plates, verbal.
• Assist county up Gov't Gulch with suspicious circumstances. Resident was walking dog and saw some lights flashing in the transfer station. Cleared, other agency assist.
• Vin inspection Mission Avenue.
• Report of a theft from Mullan Avenue. Cleared, unfounded.
• Patrolled alleyways and side streets.
• City park patrol.
• School patrol Bunker Avenue.
• Paper delivery (Chiefs orders) x2.
• Assisted District 2 with a fire call 200 block Oregon. Cleared, fire drill without notifying County.
• Citizen contact at the Kellogg Police Department regarding filing a report of elk vs car. Directed them to the county as it occurred in Smelterville.
• Attempted to tow tagged vehicle on Baillie Way. Cleared, tow was unavailable, will try again tomorrow.
• VIN inspection at the Kellogg Police Department.
• Traffic stop in the 900 block of Bunker for stop sign, verbal.
• Traffic stop in the 400 block Bunker for stop sign, verbal.
• Traffic stop at Hill Street and McKinley for no turn signal and fail to maintain lane, verbal.
• Assisted K75 with suspicious circumstances in the 300 block of McKinley Avenue. Cleared, assist.
• Assisted K75 with noise complaint in the 600 block of Bunker Avenue.
• Welfare check 600 block Bunker Avenue. Cleared, NAT.
• Citizen contact 10 block Station Avenue. Cleared, just needed directions.
• Assisted D2 with a fire call 600 block Bunker Avenue. Cleared, other agency assist.
• Towed an abandoned vehicle on Baillie Way.
• Parking complaint 600 block Bunker Avenue. Cleared, civil.
• Suspicious person/vehicle/activity in front of Dave Smith Motors (W. Cameron Avenue). Contacted subjects that were driving in and out of the parking lot. They were looking for someone and also picking up a vehicle (paperwork inspected and verified with ID). Unfounded.
• Parking complaint on 600 block Bunker Avenue. Silver Mountain has a fifth-wheel in their lot behind D Building. They believe they know the owner and will be making contact with them to have it moved. Civil.
• Dispatched to the 100 block of W. Cameron Avenue for suspicious activity. Made contact with individuals in question and discovered no crime taking place.
• Responded to the 600 block of Bunker Avenue for a noise complaint. After warning the source of the noise twice, they finally took the advice and dispersed for the evening (partiers at Silver Mountain were being loud in their room. First time K77 spoke with them, they thought he was security. On his second contact four mins later, K77 made it abundantly clear he was not security and was dead serious about the noise. It was kind of cute when they realized K77 was a in the flesh, living, breathing cop. Made his night).
• Conducted a citizen contact on the 200 block of W. Cameron Avenue regarding stores in the area. Individual were out of town and asked for directions.
• Landline with questions about the controlled burn up Two Mile. Cleared, public assist.
• Disturbance at Silver Mountain Water Park. Intoxicated subject was left by friends with no property (ID, money, clothes, etc.), took subject over to FairBridge to wait for Bus, no bus today and after a while he was able to contact someone to come pick him up. Public assist.
• Report of kids jumping the barrier (fence?) by the skate park and going into the waterway. Spoke with adults in the area as well as 1216 and nobody saw anything like that, kids in the area, yes. Jumping fence, no. Unfounded.
• Dispatched to the 10 block of E. Cameron Avenue for a welfare check. Individual in question was discovered to be A-O-K.
• Responded to the 600 block of W. Cameron Avenue for a 911 hang-up. Checked the location and discovered it to be a false alarm. No first responders were needed.
• Two dogs were turned in from the 10 block of W. Cameron Avenue who were out running around. They were both placed in the doggie pound.
• Suspicious activity reported in Pinehurst. The person they (RP) were reporting to be the suspect, K74 was able to locate in Kellogg. As the activity was currently taking place, K74 relayed information to Deputies on-scene that they should not be looking the said individual as they were standing in front of him.
• Motor vehicle crash 100 block McKinley. Initially reported as head-on with blockage and unknown injury. All parties had moved their vehicle prior to arrival and nobody was injured. Information exchange was completed and both parties got their copies. One of the drivers was kept over for further/evidential testing (Suspicion of DUI). After Field Sobriety Evaluations, breath test was offered, and breath testing was done in the field. Results failed, subject was cited and released for DUI 1st offense without further incident.
• Report of harassment that took place earlier at Yoke's. After making contact with initial RP, discovered no crime had taken place. After clearing, more people called to complain about the same individual. One of the complaints involved a juvenile this time. After investigating, NO crime had been committed. K74 was able to locate the subject and advise he had been approaching juveniles and advised to keep to himself for the duration of his stay in Kellogg…he agreed.
• While speaking with said male, a female with felony and misdemeanor warrants was located. Upon contact, subject decided not to answer the door and jumped out a window that K74 did not believe anyone could fit through…and from the second story. No chase was given as she was seen running away. Family and friends were notified and also told if caught with said subject, they would be going to jail too for harboring, as they were now aware of the warrants.
• While patrolling, came across a male yelling at the Cameron Conoco with another male. Sounded like a possible fight, however male was just feeling like yelling, no crime NAT.
• Report of vehicle theft 100 block S. Division. After hearing all information, this is a civil issue for non-payment. It is also taking place in Smelterville and was passed along to county.
• Spoke with an individual and stopped them from riding dirt bike in Mountainview Park (Theatre Road).
• Traffic stop in the Humdinger parking lot for stop sigh violation, verbal.
• Dispatched to a drunk individual tapping on windows on the 400 block of Bunker. Clear individual was taken to the drunk tank.
• K79 is back from POST and is out and about. Give him a welcome back wave. Yes that means with all fingers just not one.
