Jerry A. LeGard, 87

Jerry A. Legard, 87, of Osburn, Idaho, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2021. Jerry was born July 2, 1934, in Kellogg, Idaho, and lived most of his life in the Silver Valley.

He graduated from Kellogg High School in 1951. He married Camella Stanphill on Nov. 8, 1952. Camella passed away April 12, 1997. They raised three children: Jeff, Lori and Eddie.

Jerry played the Clarinet in his high school band and was the golden gloves champion in his division. He maintained the roads for Shoshone County for 20 years and prior to that, he was employed at Burt Yack Sawmill in Osburn.

He met Gloria Wrolson and got married June 4, 1999. Jerry was preceded in death by his sister, Jeannie Zimba; his father, Albert and his mother, Margaret; as well as his brother, Jack LeGard.

He leaves behind his wife, Gloria; his brother, Jim; and his children, Jeff and Darrylin LeGard, Lori and her husband Ray Pitts, and Eddie LeGard. Jerry was blessed with four grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Jerry was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on May 3, 1953, and was active in that ministry up to his death. His favorite scripture was Revelation 21:4.

There will be a virtual memorial and a celebration of his life for the family in the coming weeks. He will be missed by family and many many friends.
