• Malicious injury to property at Railroad and lower Third. Cleared, report taken. Someone hit a stop sign and drove off. Hoping they at least stopped at said sign before driving off.

• Received a dog from county to put in the pound.

• Dispatched to illegal dumping at 500 block W. Park. Cleared, unfounded. An individual called saying neighbor dumped a couch on McKinley. It had a sign that said free couch and it was gone upon K78’s arrival.

• Dispatched to a disturbance 100 block E. Portland. Cleared, NAT.

• Dispatched to a possible underage drinking/party 100 block E. Portland. Cleared, negative contact.

• Public assist 300 block McKinley for someone accidentally locking their keys in their car.

• Courtesy transport from 300 block McKinley to 400 block Chestnut. Cleared, public assist.

• Dispatched to suspicious individuals Hill and Cameron. Report of two persons running around in nothing but panties in the IGA parking lot. K78 was unable to locate them. Probably out streaking for funsies…

• Assisted county with ATL for a suicidal subject of unknown location. Cleared, UTL.

• Citizen contact with an individual in the dog park after dark. Cleared, NAT.

• Assisted county with a traffic stop in Pinehurst. Cleared, other agency assist.

• Residential burglar alarm at 100 block McKinley. Searched the area, saw some people inside, made contact and it was the owners. Everything was code four, they just forgot to turn off the alarm. Cleared, unfounded.

• Called to Yoke's for subject causing trouble with the clerk, female was asked to leave and was trespassed from Yoke's.

• Called to the 600 block of Maple for a verbal domestic no longer in progress. Spoke to both parties (RP was third party). Domestic violence information was given out to the female party. Cleared, report taken.

• ATL for escapee out of Washington, information was that he was passing through. UTL.

• ATL for 8004 driver. UTL.

• Received landline at office regarding something happening in Cataldo. County was advised.

• Continue E-ticket project and setting up laptops with program, testing to ensure equipment working.

• Contact at Kellogg Police Department regarding questions about banners/flags, the flag in questions was not illegal.

• Report of abandoned vehicle in Alley between Chestnut and Caledonia, gone prior to arrival (RP called and stated the vehicle was moved/gone prior to going to the area to evaluate).

• Suspicious person/threats at 800 block W. Cameron, contacted both parties involved, unfounded for assault. Courtesy transport for one party to Wallace (they are currently going to Missoula) public assist. This took place in a business and the business did not want either party trespassed.

• Called to the 200 block of Elder for a citizen contact regarding getting keys back. Cleared public assist.

• Called to the 300 block of McKinley for a suspicious circumstance, a gas door was open and a person in a dark hoodie was nearby, both were unrelated and nothing had taken place. Cleared, NAT.

• Called to the 400 block of W. Riverside for a malicious injury to property, someone threw chunks of asphalt through the RP's window x2. Follow up to be conducted.

• Welcomed some much-needed rain into the area.

• Worked on preparing narrative templates in the event ARTS remains down for extended period of time, see below.

• Report of possible gunshot(s) in the area of 100 block of W. Mullan. After further review (and a bunch of residents coming outside) might have been a blown pole transformer as nobody in the immediate vicinity (eight or more) had power to their homes. Avista was notified and came out to work on the issue.

• Called to the Amy Lynns for an animal complaint. Cleared, citation issued for dog at large.

• Suspicious vehicle at the Hill Street Conoco, large van was at gas pumps at the Cameron Conoco, then at Hill Street, and moving back and forth through pumps. Driver was having issues with the pumps not working right. Cleared, NAT.

• Traffic stop at Division and W. Cameron, verbal for speed.

• Motorist assist at eastbound 90 off-ramp at Division Street. Vehicle broke down overnight and they are working on getting it fixed/moved. Vehicle is off the roadway not a hazard.

• State-Wide Electronic Ticket (SWET) training.

• Malicious injury to property at 400 block W. Riverside. Report will be created upon return of system. Photos taken of damage. No known suspect at this time.

• Landline regarding stolen/missing back packs from Kellogg City Park, occurred within the last week and victim lives out of town. Will be making contact tomorrow to give statement form for report.

• Assist K76 with traffic stop at the city pool parking lot.

• Called to malicious injury to prop at the city parking lot on Main Street. Cleared, report.

• Called to the 400 block of Bunker for someone disturbing the peace. Cleared, peace was restored due to the fact that the person was arrested for DUI.

• Dispatched to commercial burglary alarm 100 block McKinley. Responsible on scene building was cleared, false alarm.

• Traffic stop Hill and Legion for headlight out. Cleared, misdemeanor cite and release for 8004.

• Paperwork to court/prosecutor for criminal cases.

• Assisted K78 with DUI report and subsequent verification of LifeLock.

• Assist K75 with vehicle crash on Market near W. Portland, involving county vehicle. K77 took report.

• Follow-up on active cases (as much as could be done with no report system).

• Received evidence and placed into evidence room.

• Impounded a dirt bike. That kid with the green dirt bike, who we have given numerous warnings not to ride on city streets…yea…we finally got him, caught him riding on McKinley. Impounded his dirt bike and took him home. Citations to follow.

• Dispatched to Caledonia for trespassing. Was unable to make contact with said individual. Follow-up will be conducted. Blight issues also On Caledonia. Blight notice given.

• Male called in from Pinehurst saying that a female was stuck inside of a residence on the 100 block of E. Portland. Investigation is ongoing (no longer stuck).

• Assisted county with an unwanted subject call in Smelterville. Cleared, other agency assist.

• Dog found 100 block E. Portland, owner showed up as I was getting the dog. Cleared, public assist.

• Stationary patrols: 900 block Bunker, 500 block Bunker, 100-300 block Railroad, 800 block W. Cameron.

• Traffic stop at Chestnut and W. Cameron, verbal for stop sign.

• Worked on computer issues with 661…good thing we are in 'testing' phase.

• Call of male jumping out of vehicle on Railroad Ave, made contact with the individual everything was code 4, cleared.

• Follow up on 200 block of Flume.

• Called to the 100 block of E. Portland for a Juvenile fight not in progress. Cleared, report taken.

• Called to Shoshone Medical Center for a dog bite that happen on E. Portland. Cleared, report taken.

• Assisted K78 with attempting to locate some juvenile at Silver Mountain. Cleared, agency assist.

• Assisted county with a traffic stop on the 500 block of Bunker. Cleared, other agency assist.

• Assisted K78 with disturbance on the 10 block of E. Cameron. Cleared, agency assist.

• Bar check at Dirty Dog saloon.

• Assisted K78 with unwanted people in the hot tubs at Silver Mountain. Cleared agency assist.

• Dispatched to a disturbance 600 block Bunker. Called out as a large group of intoxicated teenagers spraying other guests with hoses at Silver Mountain. Was unable to locate any roving packs of juveniles with hoses and no one saw anything including all the guests sitting on balconies or in hot tubs for the past two hours…

• Traffic stop at Hill and Railroad for stopping in the roadway, using a blinker without turning and then turning without a blinker. Cleared, verbal (Permit driver learning to drive…).

• Dispatched to a disturbance at Cameron Conoco. Cleared, individual trespassed.

• Citizen contact at Kellogg City Park regarding pets. Individuals were given a verbal warning about pets in the park.

• Dispatched to dogs at large attacking other animals on the 300 block of E. Market Avenue. Dogs were located, taken to the pound and citations were issued to owner of said dogs. Investigation is on-going.

• Dispatched to the 200 block of W. Mullan Avenue for a possible domestic battery. Upon arrival, both parties claimed they were just arguing with each other and nothing physical took place. Peace was later restored. Report will be created.

• Called to the check cashing place for a black SUV in the parking lot after hours. Checked on vehicle it was just some people eating their McDonald’s. Cleared, NAT.

• Called to the IGA parking lot for a report of a battery. Misdemeanor cite and release.

• Called to the area up Galena Ridge for a suspicious vehicle, RP then reported they could hear talking and bushes rustling. K76 was later able to locate the individuals and they were given minor in consumption citation and given rides home. Citations x3.

• Welfare check at 600 block Bunker Avenue. Report of a subject laying on the ground next to a bench. Person was good, waiting on the bus from Jefferson Lines to pass through.

• Blight complaint day:

  • 300 block of E. Portland. Investigation initiated, 14 (instead of 10) day notice to abate issued in the 300 block of E. Portland. VIN inspection done on one of the vehicles to get it registered properly.

  • 500 block of W. Riverside. Drove by and did not see what was described on the property, "garbage" is in bags as per ordinance and everything is currently covered. May have to wait until after garbage pickup to see if everything is waiting to be picked up. Did not look like it was a violation at this time.

• Complaint of juveniles on dirt bikes, 700 block McKinley/Teddy and into Brown's Ranch.

• Traffic complaint at 100 to 300 block E. Portland and E. Idaho.

• Traffic stop at 400 block W. Brown, citation for Distracted Driving/cellphone use.

• Motor vehicle crash at 100 block S. Division, vehicle vs fence/sidewalk/wall. Report taken and citation issued for obstructed driver, vehicle so loaded to interfere with vehicle operation.

• Landline request about a missing person. Person was in town but has moved on.

• Assist K79 with a fight in progress on E Idaho. Fight over garden and neighbor stealing veggies. Cleared, assist.

• Malicious injury to property on the 300 block of W. Riverside. Cleared, report taken.

• Worked on reports (narratives out of the way at least).

• Continued follow-up from crash yesterday (forgot a few measurements).

• Forgot to mention in yesterday's brief, tagged a vehicle for removal on Station at Fir. Appears to be the base of an RV and the license plate displayed does not return. Unable to find a VIN. Vehicle was tagged for removal.

• Contact at the Kellogg Police Department regarding issues on E. Idaho, referred to investigating officer as report was already taken.

• Made contact with P&P, they were prepping to go and do home visits and were letting us know.

• VIN inspection 500 block Chestnut.

• VIN inspection 400 block E. Portland.

• Parking ticket issued. Division and I-90, parking in the yellow at curb.
