Gerald Allen Ingalls

Gerald Allen Ingalls — Jerry Ingalls — 70, died unexpectedly Nov. 30, 2021, at Kootenai Health in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. He was born, raised and settled in Cataldo, Idaho.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Thomas Ingalls and Rose Mary Cory Ingalls. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Laurie Ingalls of Cataldo; children: Greg Ingalls, Brenda Ingalls, Trina Ingalls and Amanda Ingalls; siblings: Gail Peters, Glen Ingalls, Charlotte Ingalls, Lawrence Ingalls and his wife Helen Hammond; extended family: Holly Lindsey and Joshua (Howard) Lindsey.

Jerry was a true animal whisper and had many tales of his friends from the animal kingdom. He enjoyed political, union and gun/ammo debates and discussions with neighbors and family ... “The 270 is the best gun." He was an avid hunter and outdoorsmen. Jerry enjoyed his time as a baseball coach for Canyon Elementary School. He also raised and trained AKC registered Labrador retrievers for several years.

Jerry worked for Hatfield Enterprises for 32 years. In his younger years, he worked for Bunker Hill and Sunshine Mines as well as working the harvest on The Palouse.

A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held on Jan. 22, 2022, at the Fort Sherman Chapel at 1 p.m. in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, followed by a reception at Seasons of Coeur d’Alene Fresh Grill and Bar.
