Kellogg Police Department Roll Call: Dec. 8-15

•School lock down drill. Kellogg Middle school.

•School Patrol morning rush Bunker Ave.

•Report of counterfeit money in the hallways and various other locations in an apartment complex on Bunker Ave. Someone thought it would be funny to leave copy money laying around for people to find. Said people are becoming upset when they find out its copy money and unable to spend it.. I say copy money and not counterfeit money because it literally says "COPY MONEY" on both sides of the bill. Its only one step better than the play money you get at the dollar store. Cleared NAT.

•911 open call on the 100 block of Presley. Clear everyone was code 4.

•Report of fraud on the 10 block of E. Cameron. Clear report taken. Yup more “COPY MONEY”

•Stolen I-phone from Dirty Dogs, a male came into the bar looking for his phone and took one not belonging to him. Clear, submitting for charges.

•Traffic stop W Cameron and Utah for no headlights at night. Clear, verbal.

•Traffic stop W Cameron and S Division no headlights at night. Clear, verbal.

•Assisted County with burglary alarm at O’Reilly’s. Clear, assist.

•Assisted ISP with a warrant arrest. Clear, assist.

•Welfare check 400 Brown St, RP heard children yelling. Turns out, Angle Wings was having a Christmas party for the kids, apparently the kids were having a good time. Clear public assist.

•Traffic stop on Hill Street in front of the Humdinger. Cleared verbal.

•Called to the 800 block of W. Cameron for an individual that had questions about a light of the mountain. Clear, public assist.

•Landline request about a possible sex offender being near kids. As the residence is outside of Kellogg, referred to other agency.

•Follow up on fraud case on the 10 block of E. Cameron.

•Received a Border Collie to the pound from the area of French Gulch. Owner came to retrieve the dog, but took the wrong one home for some reason. Came back later to change it out for the right one...Yes you read that right, he took the wrong dog home. Can you just imagine the look on the other dogs face when he left with the wrong dog?

•Landline request regarding possible Phone harassment. Before landline was made, K79 was told to disregard.

•The Hatfield’s and McCoy’s still having issues on Cameron Ave. The issues are still civil issues and not criminal issues. Told both parties about their civil options.

•Assisted K78 with suspicious circumstances in the area of Hill Street and Railroad Ave.

•Dispatched to suspicious persons, 400 block of Railroad. Dispatch stated that the RP saw two juveniles with masks on wearing all black came out from behind the Bean. Tracks lead down the trail. RP was the owner of the Bean and stated no damages, just suspicious. Extra patrol instituted.

•Assisted K76 with a firework call 500 block W. Park. Clear, agency assist.

•Assisted county with a domestic in Smelterville. Clear, other agency assist.

•Animal complaint on the 300 block of E. Market. Clear, dogs gone on arrival.

•Animal complaint on the 400 block of W. Brown. Clear, report taken.

•Public assist regarding a child custody agreement on the 300 block of W. Park. Clear, public assist.

•Disturbance at SMC, patient wanting to leave. Upon arrival, subject was good with family present and staff had questions about placing subject on a hold if needed. This was more about questions and procedure than it was a disturbance, concerns over subject leaving. Public assist.

•Unwanted subject at 100 block E. Portland. Parties separated without incident, courtesy ride given to 1 party to Silverton (intoxicated).

•Dispatched to a disturbance at SMC. Clear, public assist.

•Dispatched to commercial business alarm 400 block W. Cameron. Clear, false alarm.

•Lifeloc monthly performance verification completed.

•Landline at KPD regarding any possible haul truck crashes in the area, referred to other agency.

•Checked on a bike and a truck and camper in the City parking lot. Found owners all items code 4.

•Follow-up on investigations/reported incidents.

•Release dog from pound.

•Landline request about an attempted kidnapping. Baby daddy coming to see child is not kidnapping. No paper working stating dad could not see said child.

•Landline, this was a continuation of what K73 had earlier regarding questions about custody. Answered as many questions as possible and referred to crisis/resource center, grandparent had questions about leaving the state for visitation for the holiday (referred to Idaho Code for Child Custody Interference and advised to seek legal counsel prior to making this decision).

•Welfare check at 400 block Main. RP unable to contact child and mother of child. Subjects are fine, there are issues with cell phones throughout the valley.

•Traffic stop at 700 block McKinley, written warning. Fail to dim high beams.

•Traffic stop at Hill/Cameron written warning. Fail to dim high beams.

•Traffic stop at Hill/W. Riverside, verbal for lights after dark. Citation for driving without privileges.

•Abandoned vehicle on Dimond Ave and Emerald Ave. Vehicle tagged for removal. Expired plates. 1999 green Hyundai accent.

•Cell phones no workie.

•Citizen Contact at 400 block Bunker, phone contact was made regarding subject calling 911 instead of Avista in regards to utility bill. Verbal warning given.

•Traffic stop at 200 block E. Cameron. Written warning for speed 33/25.

•Parking ticket issued at W. Market and Main, vehicle parked on top of crosswalk.

•Agency assist, subject wanting to do harm to self and actively damaging property in Smelterville. Cleared after a few moments when subject was willing to go in for eval.

•Traffic stop at Utah/W. Brown. Written warning headlight.

•Traffic stop at W. Cameron/Short. Written warning fail to dim high beams.

•Traffic stop in Napa parking lot broken headlight. Clear, citation for registration.

•Landline request regarding a missing cat – A lady called thinking a neighbor had stolen her cat because the neighbor had their blinds closed, she never saw these neighbors with her cat or had spoken to these neighbors. Informed her of her cat's rights to wander and what not. Cleared NAT.

•Assist K74 with a possible suicidal subject at Mountain Health on McKinley Ave. Person gone before K76 and K73 arrived.

•Suicidal subject 700 block McKinley, subject was gone prior to arrival. Advised County as subject resides outside of Kellogg. Attempt to locate was given to everyone on shift.

•Took a dog into pound from Pinehurst.

•Released a dog from the pound.

•Civil papers attempted x2 (first time nobody was home). 2nd time one person was at the residence and other persons location/residence was given for the other service located in Pinehurst.

•Agency assist. Suicidal subject in Kingston that had already had self-inflicted injuries. Once subject was located, medical was cleared to come in and treat and subject was cooperative. Assist other agency.

•Assisted county with locating a suicidal subject in Kingston. Clear Assist.

•Assisted county with a drug arrest for trafficking marijuana located at Walmart. Clear assist.

•Traffic stop Hill and Cameron for no head lights. Clear verbal.

•Traffic stop at Cameron and Hill for broken tail light. Verbal.

•Dogs at large running toward Mission Ave. I was unable to find any dogs. They wandered into the Mission Street Turkey Gang territory. Rumor has it that the dogs lost the dance off and had to leave with their tails tucked between their legs.
