Lost snowboarder has passed away

A snowboarder lost overnight at Schweitzer ski resort has passed away, according to the Bonner County Sheriff's Office.

Riley Hadeen, 27, was reported missing Sunday afternoon when he failed to turn up at a designated spot to meet up with others in his group. After an extensive search by local and regional agencies, Hadeen was found Monday morning about 10 a.m. and CPR attempted. He was flown by Two Bear Air rescue to the airport where the helicopter was met by medics.

He was declared deceased at the airport and is now a death investigation, Capt. Tim Hemphill, BCSO public information officer.
