Kellogg Police Department Roll Call: Jan. 27-Feb. 3
• Spoke with two individuals at the Kellogg Police Department who wanted to speak with law enforcement about homeless shelters.
• Followed up on K74's animal complaint from earlier in the day. Verbal warning was given to the owner.
• Assisted K77 with locating a person who attempted to gain entry into a home. UTL at that time.
• Dispatched to the 100 block of W. Mullan Avenue for an unwanted subject. Individual was gone on arrival so K76 and K77 searched the area.
• A few moments later after clearing K76, spotted a male that matched the description he was given from the previous call. Mr. Unwanted definitely spotted K76 turning around because he started running back the opposite direction down the street. During all of this, K76 was flagged down by the Cameron Conoco staff about him causing problems at both stations (Hill Street and Cameron Conoco). Mr. Unwanted was soon located taken in for a detox hold, as he didn’t seem to even know where he was... Cleared, public assist (for the record it was NOT Steel Reserve Man).
• Citizen contact in front the Kellogg Police Department regarding issues in the 300 block of W. Mission, advised the owner had made contact and they were advised of options regarding children knocking down poles closing off the driveway. Public assist.
• Disturbance 100 block of E. Portland, one person cited for assault per request of victim. Cite and release.
• Reports and follow-up.
• Landline regarding question on how and where to take care of a citation that was issued, referred to courts.
• LL request regarding harassment. A sad young lady wanted to report harassment about her ex-boyfriend calling her mean names… when asked if she has attempted to block the number she said "she just did it and wanted to end the call."
• Assisted Pinehurst Police Department with a paper service.
• Traffic stop 100 block W. Cameron Avenue for stop sign violation. Driver had misdemeanor warrant. Cleared, misdemeanor arrest.
• Called to 400 block W. Cameron for civil standby. Cleared, public assist.
• Contacted a male at Shoshone Medical Center with a felony warrant, he was then promptly taken into custody.
• Assisted county with a physical domestic in progress with injuries in Mullan. Cleared, other agency assist.
• Called to the 300 block of W. Cameron for suspicious circumstances. Cleared, unfounded.
• Assisted county with stolen dirt bike in Smelterville. Cleared, other agency assist.
• Shoplifting call at the state liquor store. Bottle of Fireball stolen. Will pick up video footage and statement forms Monday. Update: This one should be easy as the Fireball thief showed the clerk her I.D. and the video footage is great. I will find you, Ms. Fireball thief.
• Assisted county at Silver Mountain. Unwanted subject on top and broke out a window on way down.
• Assisted county with a shoplifter at Walmart. Subject was carrying a weapon. Cleared when scene was safe.
• Found wallet and hat on McKinley Avenue. Was able to find the vehicle of the person who lost the wallet and left a card on it at Silver Mountain. Subject did not call and clam said wallet and vehicle was gone when I checked on it later.
• Assisted county with petit-theft, Walmart. Cleared, other agency assist.
• Suspicious persons 400 block main. Cleared, UTL extra patrols requested.
• Continue video migration on backup drive for body cam videos.
• Update report, report from last week regarding lost firearm. Voicemail left over the weekend and the firearm was located. Report updated and dispatch contacted for removal from NCIC.
• Contact at the Kellogg Police Department reference parking issues/questions. 500 block W. Riverside, vehicle legally parked and registered, unfounded.
• Civil paper service Attempt x3/negative contact x3.
• Report of battery that took place 2-3 weeks ago (third party report). Attempted contact with victim, negative contact. Made contact with "suspect," information collected, and report discovered to be unfounded. Unfounded.
• Report of dog bite, mail carrier was bitten last week; Post Office will call when all their admin paperwork is completed. Unknown if victim wants to file a report at this time, they will be checking on that prior to contacting PD.
• Follow up on theft of fireball from the liquor store (picked up video footage).
• Paper service X3. All served.
• Patrolled the sunny streets of Kellogg… Wait, the rainy streets of Kellogg… No the snowy streets of Kellogg.
• Extra patrols, main and alleys as requested.
• Assisted county with silent alarm at the transfer station. Cleared, other agency assist.
• Test and inspect newly received light-bar for 613. Shines pretty, install later this week perhaps.
• Report of campers in the overflow lot at Silver Mountain dumping gray water, unable to determine culprit, advised all present not to dump water. Contacted Main office to let front desk notify all persons renting out spaces not to dump water.
• Found property turned in at the Kellogg Police Department, found wallet. Report created and wallet entered into safekeeping (no contact information for owner).
• Contact at the Kellogg Police Department about a found dog at McDonald's. Dog returned to owner.
• Assist Idaho State Police with a ATL on a kidnapping subject. Cleared, UTL.
• Dispatched to the 600 block of Bunker Avenue for dogs running at large. Checked the area but was unable to locate.
• Handled a landline request for a welfare check. After speaking with the reporting party, they informed me that they just needed me to drive by the residence to ensure a certain individual was not there. Cleared, public assist.
• Assisted 662 with some vehicle issues.
• Dispatched to the 100 block of E. Portland Avenue for a disturbance. After conducting an investigation, parties were separated and peace was restored.
• 911 open line in the 300 block of W. Mullan. This came from a non-working number and no contact could be made with anyone. Small child could be heard in the background, checked the neighborhood and found nobody needing assistance and all with working cellphones. Unfounded.
• Motorist assist on the 50 on-ramp, they were trying to use their phone to contact their friend who stated that they crashed their car drunk outside of some bar in the area and the car was dead. After speaking with the person further, it was determined they were actually in Montana at a bar but they were so intoxicated the location couldn't be pinpointed over in Mt. Mineral county was notified. Checked around town and was unable to locate any crashes.
• Called to the 500 block of Main for an unwanted subject, made contact with a female who was highly intoxicated and was given a ride home by K77. Cleared, public assist.
• Called Douglas County Sheriff's department to obtain a copy of a report on Mr. Shots Fired to make sure he can no longer be Mr. Shots Fired.
