Kellogg Police Department Roll Call: Feb. 17-24

• Responded to the 10 block of E. Cameron Avenue for two unwanted individuals. After making contact with said individuals, they left the property without any issues.

• Called to an unwanted subject in the 100 block of E. Portland Avenue, was able to get the male to calm down after speaking with him and provided the individual with a courtesy ride to Pinehurst. Cleared, NAT.

• Dispatched to E. Portland for a vehicle vs pedestrian. Driver was cited for reckless driving.

• From K76 — “Ate some pizza, then promptly walked outside to leave and found black ice and now everything hurts.”

• Case/evidence research per request of Prosecutor's Office, make copies of all and take to the Prosecutor's Office.

• Grant work continued.

• Check on vehicles tagged for snow removal, will continue tomorrow.

• Called to bankcda for a fraud report. Cleared, report taken.

• Citizen contact Railroad Avenue. Motorist flagged me down to report stolen license plates. Later called to report they have been located and no crime involved. Cleared, NAT.

• Another citizen contact on Railroad Avenue, reference a theft that occurred in county land. Cleared, refer to other agency.

• Cleared dead-head vehicles off the board.

• Report of suspicious circumstance/road rage that occurred on the interstate. ATL on suspect vehicle and relayed to other agency.

• Traffic complaint Mission and Chestnut. Four-wheeler pulling kids and they weren't wearing helmets. Unable to locate.

• Dispatched to the 100 block of E. Portland Avenue for a disturbance. Parties were separated and peace was somewhat restored. Report was taken.

• Assisted District 2 Fire with a fire suppression system alarm on the 100 block of E. Riverside Avenue.

• Traffic stop 800 block Bunker Avenue, verbal for distracted driving.

• Interviews at Kellogg High School regarding possible possession/dissemination of exploitative material, if anything took place, it happened out in the county. Reported to have taken place on a school bus and the route is not in Kellogg. Other agency assist.

• Animal complaint 200 block E. Idaho, dog at large. Unable to locate.

• Strategy meeting at Kellogg Middle School with administration and other Law Enforcement.

• Traffic stop 10 block W. Cameron Avenue. Cleared, verbal warning for inattentive driving.

• Suspicious circumstances Ohio Avenue. House was on W. Portland. Made contact with person doing some demolition. Was called in as a squatter. Cleared, NAT.

• Welfare check 300 block Cedar Avenue. Subject was code 4. Cleared, public assist.

• Parking complaint 200 block Elder.

• Responded to the 600 block of Bunker Avenue for a disturbance. Located the source and gave a verbal warning for disturbing others peace. Campers in the parking lot of Silver Mountain were partying a little too loud.

• Assisted K76 with traffic stops on Station Avenue, Flume Street and McKinley Avenue.

• Dispatched to the 600 block of Bunker Avenue for individuals trespassing. Made contact with said individuals (hot tub jumpers) and escorted them off the property. Verbal warning was given.

• Conducted a building check on the 800 block of Bunker Avenue. Building was secured and appeared undisturbed.

• Parking ticket x3 on Bunker Avenue. Two of which parked right next to the sign that says no parking from here to corner. The other parked ON a yellow curb.

• Assisted county with a call of a male who pointed a gun at a person driving by up Pine Creek UTL. Cleared, other agency assist.

• Received a LL request regarding a stolen vehicle. Upon further investigation the individual stated that his local agency in WA is just messing with him and won't take a stolen vehicle report. He also told me that they are going to be charging him with harassment because of the call volumes he creates. The vehicle he was telling me was stolen was not in Kellogg anyway. Cleared, public assist?

• Civil standby at the Amylynn's. Cleared, NAT.

• Patrolled in the rain and slush.

• Worked on NIBRS errors.

• Follow up on my unwanted persons call from last week.

• Landline regarding parking issues/questions on Ohio area of W. Park. This was looked into within the last couple of weeks and owner of vehicle has permission to be parking in the lot and it is not illegally parked. Concern is that persons coming off Ohio making the curve will slide into the parked vehicle. Understand concerns but RP was advised to drive slower if there is concern for sliding into parked car.

• Continue Grant/Budget request/work.

• Traffic complaint 600 block W. Cameron, report of driver coming to screeching halt, exiting and leaving vehicle in roadway with passenger inside vehicle — described as older white Chevy. Vehicle was not there upon arrival. Unable to locate.

• Civil Paper Service 300 block W. Cameron — Served x2.

• Attempt to locate wanted subjects out of Post Falls, said to have left in a black Mazda 3 with Kootenai County license (withheld from brief). Searched around town for suspect vehicle, unable to locate.

• Property damage crash reported in Yoke's Parking lot. Upon contacting one of the parties involved, this was not a crash but a "door dinging" type incident. Unable to see any damage to the vehicle. Information collected and business card given in the event they discover damage that can be attributed to this incident at a later time (tough to tell minor dents on a black vehicle while raining). Business card given with event number for future reference if needed. Unfounded.

• Ate some brownies, then ate some more. Thank you K78’s .5.

• NIBRS errors problem solving.

• Checked on dead heads. Still a few out there. Will see if Nickerson's will tow tomorrow.

• Traffic stop at 400 block Bunker Avenue, verbal warning for distracted driving (cellphone use).

• Contacted subject at Mountain Valley Cascadia regarding use of 911, subject was given the non-emergent number for the Sheriff's Office.

• Towed vehicle from 100 block E. Market. Report taken (this was a snow removal vehicle that had been tagged).

• How do you know there’s a firefighter at your party? He’ll tell you.

• Checked on all other vehicles that were up for tow, they have either been moved or shoveled around for removal of the berms.

• Contact owner of vehicle 700 block Caledonia, advised to move vehicle or shovel the berm, will check tomorrow to see if the vehicle needs to be tagged for removal or not.

• Continued work on grant.

• Public assist for found property 200 block W. Cameron, unable to prove ownership, but suspect was advised they are now being watched.

• Parking ticket issued on S. Division for parking in no parking zone.

• County assist in Ross Ranch. Family disturbance. Cleared when scene was safe.

• Called to Market for a stolen vehicle report. Vehicle was not stolen but removed for snow removal. Told owner where his vehicle was located. Cleared, NAT.

• Parking complaint on Main and Market. Vehicle blocking road way. Found owner in a nearby restaurant and had her mover her vehicle. Her friends made sure to give her a hard time about it, so no warring needed.

• Assist county with a warrant arrest on Cameron Avenue. Cleared, assist.

• County assist on Back Street in Page. Burglary in progress. Turned out unfounded. Cleared as soon as county arrived.

• Noise complaint 500 block W. Brown. Cleared, verbal.

• Motorist assist at 200 block E. Cameron for vehicle stuck in snow, others were already assisting so I slowed down traffic until vehicle was no longer stuck. Public assist.

• Vehicle tagged for snow/48-hour removal 100 block E. Mullan — Red Camaro.

• Traffic stop 500 block Bunker Avenue, verbal for speed 32/25.

• Traffic stop 600 block Bunker Avenue, verbal for speed 32/25, as well as cellphone use.

• Tagged multiple vehicles in the Emerald sub-division for snow/48-hour removal.

• Parking ticket issued to vehicle in roadway (over 18 inches from curb) in 400 block W. Mullan.

• Checked on abandoned vehicle with county up Government Gulch. While there, also checked on footprints around a mobile home.
