Delvin 'Moe' Ray Hammond, 66
Beloved father and grandfather, Delvin “Moe” Ray Hammond, 66, of Kellogg, Idaho, passed away July 6, 2021, at the Schneidmiller House in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. He was born May 7, 1955, in Superior, Mont. Moe was the son of Leslie and Louvain (Casey) Hammond.
Moe attended and graduated from Spangle High School in Washington, class of 1973. After graduation, Moe moved to the Silver Valley where he worked at the Galena Mine for 21 years. He also spent time working for the Osburn Police Department.
In 1984, Moe was united in marriage to Bonnie Johnson in Coeur d’Alene. Together, they raised two children and later divorced.
In his free time, Moe enjoyed going hunting, fishing and just being in the great outdoors. He also had a need for speed and enjoyed burning rubber. Moe was proud to be a grandfather and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Moe is survived by his two children, Ray Hammond and Beverly (Travis) Timme; and three grandchildren, Jeslyian Johnson, Journey Timme and Jensen Timme. He is also survived by his brother, Duane (Carolyn) Hammond; and numerous nieces and nephews. Moe was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Dana Hammond, Deloris Brown, Lois Bower and Leslie Hammond Jr.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 17, 2021, at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Mullan, Idaho.
