Esther Eileen Hough Davis

Esther Eileen Hough Davis passed away May 25, 2021, in comfort at the Good Samaritans Nursing Home in Silverton, Idaho. Esther was born Jan. 18, 1929, in Missoula, Mont. She moved to Pinehurst, Idaho, in 1946.

Esther was a homemaker and raised her children. She liked to sew and play board games and pool. She enjoyed flower gardening, picking huckleberries, going camping, hunting and going on fishing trips.

She was also a gemologist. She dug many stones including sapphires, opals, garnets, and many more. She enjoyed going to rock shows all over Utah, Montana, Wyoming and Idaho with her husband, James William. They made jewelry together from the stones they dug over many years.

Esther is preceded in death by her husband, James William; and her son, Robert Lee Davis. Esther leaves behind her son, James F. Davis of Spokane, Wash.; her daughter, Gail E. Davis of Alaska; son William E. Davis of Spokane and her son, John B. Davis of Cataldo, Idaho.
