Kellogg Police Department Roll Call: July 14-21

• Dispatched to the 500 block of W. Riverside Avenue for a vehicle burglary. Handgun taken. Report was taken. Handgun later located and it was not stolen.

• Dispatched to the 300 block of Ohio Street for an unlawful entry. Attempted to make contact with the reporting party but was unsuccessful. Follow-up will be conducted.

• Dispatched to the 300 Block of W. Mullan Avenue for a civil standby. Shortly after my arrival the reporting party canceled the civil standby.

• Assisted county with a possible detox at Shoshone Medical Center. Cleared, subject did not require a detox.

• Assisted K78 with suspicious vehicle on Theater and Airport. Cleared, agency assist.

• Assisted K78 with a possible unwanted subject on the 500 block of Brown. Cleared, agency assist.

• Traffic stop for no plates under the Hill Street underpass. Cleared, verbal.

• Assisted K78 with suspicious people near the old U.S. Bank. Cleared, agency assist.

• Citizen contact at Theater Road and Mountain View Park for suspicious activity. Cleared, NAT.

• Dispatched to possible unlawful entry 500 block Brown. Cleared, building cleared and secured no signs of forced entry. The church on Brown, pastor came back and the bathroom light was on and the sink was running, so he believed someone was inside. No signs of forced entry and nothing missing. Hmmm pretty sure every ghost movie ever started the same way.

• Citizen contact at Division and Portland for suspicious persons. Cleared, NAT. Two teenagers out doing some urban exploring. They were in the little alleyway behind the old U.S. Bank. They were educated on trespassing laws, as well as looking suspicious at night.

• Citizen contact at Cameron Conoco for a suspicious vehicle. Cleared, NAT. Individuals had tire issues and said the hotel was full so they decided to sleep in the parking lot to be first in line at Les Schwab in the morning.

• Fireworks complaint 200 block of Gold. Cleared, UTL.

• Assisted D2 fire with blocking of Main and S. Division. Cleared, other agency assist.

• Assisted county with a disturbance in Smelterville. Cleared, other agency assist.

• Verbal fight in progress on the 200 block of Flume. Cleared, parties were separated.

• Motorist assist with a dead battery at the Camron Conoco. Cleared, public assist.

• Assisted D2 with traffic control 700 block S. Division. Cleared, other agency assist.

• Assisted county with a disturbance in Smelterville. Cleared, other agency assist.

• Foot patrol Kellogg City Park.

• Citizen contact at the Kellogg City Park for a large group in the park after dark. Cleared, just a visiting family burning off some energy before they head back to camp.

• Assisted K79 with a fight in progress 200 block Flume. Cleared, agency assist.

• Assisted K79 with a motorist assist at Cameron Conoco. Cleared, agency assist.

• Assisted county with a felony domestic arrest in Pinecreek.

• County assist at Smelterville airport. Subject made their way onto the airfield and brandished a firearm, then began shooting. Provided cover, taking subject into custody, and brief survey of scene. Assisted Idaho State Police with taking suspect's keys to where the vehicle was being towed (I-90 eastbound at 48). Other agency assist.

• Welfare check at 100 block of E. Portland. Contact made with subject and spoke with the person for quite some time. Determine no assistance was needed and subject was nowhere near needing involuntary hold. Report taken for documentation (information).

• Landline regarding a disturbance on the 100 block W. Idaho. Cleared, public assist.

• Contact in the 400 block of E. Portland regarding questions about Shoshone Pet Rescue and adoption of dogs. Advised the best persons to ask would be Shoshone Pet Rescue. Main question is if we had a facility similar to Kootenai Humane Society in which you could go in and see the dogs (no).

• Suspicious circumstance at Hill Street Conoco. This turned out to be more of an intel/information giving than a suspicious circumstance. Public assist.

• Suspicious vehicle in the Hill Street Conoco parking lot, vehicle had been at every gas station and just darked out in the corner of each one. Everything was code 4 it was just a traveler looking for somewhere to sleep or a hotel. Public assist.

• Contact at the Kellogg Police Department reference neighbor issues/property dispute. There were issues about property lines and plants/tree type items removed and thrown at one neighbor. Reporting party wanted it documented, but did not want the other party contacted. Advised they could take a statement form, but a report would not be created only documenting one side. Directed the person on where they needed to start with the surveying of the property to determine property lines. Public assist.

Contact — 400 block Railroad — complaint about dogs in the park — contacted dog owners and they removed the animals without incident.

• Assisted county with restraint of a combative patient at Shoshone Medical Center. Cleared, other agency assist.

• Citizen contact at the Kellogg Police Department for a civil standby 200 block Flume. Cleared, other party wasn't home. RP was told to call again later when the other party is home.

• Called to the 1000 block of E. Garden Avenue in Osburn for a citizen contact about something that occurred in Kellogg, investigation ongoing.

• Citizen contact at Kellogg City Park for individuals in the park after dark. Cleared, individuals were educated on park hours.

• Foot patrol at Kellogg City Park.

• Citizen contact at Cameron and Bunker, stranded traveler. Cleared, public assist, he got a ride to Coeur d'Alene.

• Assisted county with a fail to yield/DUI 400 block Brown. Cleared, agency assist.
