April Joy Jones, 43

Beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend, April Joy Jones, 43, of Kellogg, Idaho, passed away May 25, 2021, at Kootenai Health in Coeur d’Alene. She was born April 26, 1978, in Murray, Utah. April was the daughter of Ted Hermansen and Sue Folker.

At a young age, April moved to the Silver Valley with her family. Over the years, she lived in Montana but always considered the Silver Valley home.

While living in Montana, April met her soulmate Stefan Jones. They spent the next 25 years together. In 2011, they were united in marriage in Wallace, Idaho. Together they have raised two sons whom she is very proud of.

Nearly 12 years ago, April was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. She battled the disease with courage and with an incredible spirit. She never let it get her down and was always smiling, joking and loving with all of her heart. She taught her sons the art of sarcasms at a young age and how to always stay positive in situations. April will be forever loved and missed by all that knew her.

April is survived by her husband, Stefan Jones; their two children, Aiden and Evan Jones; her mother, Sue Sasser; three sisters, Marcie Gillespie, Misty Karst and Kathy Hermansen; and brother-in-law Mica Millar. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Les Sasser.

Cremation will take place and a private celebration of April’s life will be held at a later date.
