Kellogg Police Department Roll Call: May 26-June 2

by SGT. PAUL TWIDT/Kellogg Police Department
| June 3, 2021 1:27 PM

• School patrol.

• Took the new guy up to Wallace to get his I.D. and key for the SO. Yes, we have a new guy and I guess we will just call him new guy for now. Don’t let the tattoo’s scare you, he is pretty laid back and should be a good fit for the Kellogg Police Department. If you see him out and about with K74, please give him at least a two fingered wave (one finger and a thumb does not count as two fingers).

• Looked up the total arrest reports/Cite and releases/Summons in NIBRS and ARTS for 2019.

• Patrolled in the rain/sun/wind.

• Words from the Chief: "Extra patrol around Silver Mountain's maintenance shop up Government Gulch."

• Dispatched to a noise complaint on the 600 block of Bunker Avenue. Checked the area but observed no such activity. Someone called up saying people were loud and playing music in the big parking lot of Silver Mountain Resort. K77 checked the parking lot and observed no music playing. Plus, there was probably around 100+ persons in the parking lot enjoying beer by their fires. K77 did not notice anything being out of hand. Unfounded.

Unfortunately, this was done with a vehicle — not a skateboard, so damage was done to the concrete. Persons involved were employees and after speaking with management, they did not request a report be created.

• Suspicious activity at Hill Street Conoco. This turned out to be a trespassing issue. Subject was no longer on-scene, but was later located and issued a citation for trespassing (infraction — as there were no prior convictions). Trespass notice was extended by another year as well.

• Came across subject that was given a trespass notice yesterday while on the premises. K74 does not believe the trespass was relayed prior to being released and K74 knows there was no way he understood being told in the condition he was in when contacted on yesterday’s date. Trespass was re-issued and will be noted as he was able to understand. He was given a courtesy ride to Smelterville per his request (Steel Reserve).

• Report of possible DUI in the area of W. Cameron and/or E. Cameron. Black Chevy car was the only description. Unable to locate.

• Assist medical on the 400 Block of Mullan Avenue. Combative patient.

• Malicious injury to prop on Riverside Ave. Paint poured inside of a jeep. Report taken.

• Alarm call on the 800 block of Cameron Avenue. False alarm code 4.

After speaking with the original Beastmaster (K73), K74 learned of Birds of Prey Northwest and contact information was relayed to Dispatch. After meeting the persons and the Owl (looked like baby Yoda wrapped in a blanket) they were advised someone would be in contact with them.
