PRICHARD — The Shoshone County Sheriff's Office is hoping that North Fork recreators can shed some light on a theft that occurred sometime last week.

SCSO Cpt. Jeff Lee states that a 2020 Salem Cruise 33-foot camper with no plates (brand new) was stolen from the Eagle Creek and Prichard Creek Road area between the dates of May 31 and June 6.

The property that the camper was stolen from did have a gate, but it was left open due to others camping in the same area, so it is difficult to identify any suspects at this time. As the investigation continues, it is also unknown if any other items were stolen, but Cpt. Lee said a large vehicle would have been needed to steal the camper.

"If you have seen this camper or have any information, please call your local law enforcement agency," Cpt. Lee said.

Campers being stolen is not common in Shoshone County, but two were stolen from Smelterville earlier this year with one later being recovered in Washington.

The SCSO can be reached at 208-556-1114 and reference case number 01-2021-00478.
