AARP opens up Tax-Aide site in Kellogg

The AARP Tax-Aide Program is now open as of Monday. Tax-Aide helps people of all ages with low to moderate income for free.

All sites are by appointment only this year. Due to COVID-19, there will not be the usual in-person tax preparation. The taxpayer will fill out forms and talk to a tax counselor, drop off their tax documents, have the tax return prepared outside their presence, and agree to be available by phone during tax return preparation. Upon completion, the taxpayer will review the tax return with a certified counselor and sign documents.

Tax-Aide's mission is to provide high quality free income tax assistance and tax form

preparation to low and moderate-income taxpayers of all ages. There’s no fee and no

sales pitch for other services, and AARP membership is not required.
