Kellogg Police Department Roll Call: March 10-17

• Warrant arrest on W. Idaho. Cleared, arrest.

• Talked with some people unloading motorbikes at Mountain View park. They loaded them back up at K73’s request.

• The infamous mobile home is back at Silver Mountain with the same occupants. They decided that a broke down car in the lot (not their's) was a great place to put some of their junk. Junk removed and car moved.

• Conducted a traffic stop on the 300 block of W. Park. After conducting an investigation, the driver/operator/traveler of the vehicle was cited and released for multiple misdemeanors and issued a couple civil infractions.

• Called to Mullan Avenue for a 14-year-old for "using the lords name in vain." Said Richard Blevins aka Ninja Wannabe was having a bad game at Fortnite and was cursing at the TV. K73 explained to Ninja that if stepdad does not want him to "use the lords name in vain,” DON"T and explained to stepdad that using 911 for this was not OK. Cleared, NAT.

• Traffic stop on the 51 on-ramp for turn signal violation, verbal.

• Traffic stop at 800 block Bunker Avenue. Citation for speed 35/25.

• Checked on trailers on the roadway(s), located a boat on a trailer in the 400 block W. Brown. Tagged for removal, requested oncoming shift to see if they can make contact (nobody answered the door) to notify them to move the boat/trailer.

• Parking ticket issued 600 block Bunker Avenue. No parking allowed (yellow at curb).

• Agency assist approximately MP 54 a truck was losing potatoes traveling west bound. Of course the red beard (K75) gets sent to potatoes this close to St. Patrick's Day.

• VIN inspection at the Kellogg Police Department. Cleared, public assist.

• Citizen contact Kellogg Avenue, vehicle parked too far from curb. Cleared, verbal warning.

• Citizen contact at the Kellogg Police Department regarding truck on the side of the road on the hillside. Cleared, referred to other agency.

• Took dog into pound from Pinehurst PD.

• Called to MP 49ish for sandbag in roadway. Cleared, unable to locate.

• Dispatched to the 100 block of E. Portland Avenue for an unwanted subject. Upon arrival, K77 discovered the individual in question had already left the area prior to my arrival. No action was taken at reporting party’s request.

• Responded to the 100 block of Hill Street for a burglary alarm. Checked the building in question and discovered it was secured with no forced entry.

• Worked on lots of reports and evidence processing.

• Called to the 300 block of Chestnut for a disturbance. Cleared, public assist.

• Checked on vehicle in Silver Mountain parking lot reference recent events.

• Suspicious vehicle in the Avista parking lot. Vehicle had been sitting running in the parking lot occupied for a while, everything was code 4.

• Assist county with Search Warrant in Kellogg.

• Assist county with search warrant. Cleared, other agency assist.

• Citizen contact at the Kellogg Police Department regarding civil issues. Said issues are also in Wardner. Referred to other agency.

• LL request regarding civil issues. Cleared, public assist.

• Threats report at Kellogg Middle School. Cleared, report taken.

• Civil standby 400 block Main Street. Cleared, public assist.

• Assist health and welfare with follow-up on previous case.

• Citizen contact at Trail Motel. Cleared, public assist.

• Assist other agency with theft of wallet. Cleared, other agency assist.

• Dispatched to a petit theft on the 100 block of Hill Street. K77 was able to locate suspect outside Kellogg, recover the stolen property and give a misdemeanor citation to the suspect. K77 later returned the stolen property to the rightful owner. GPS is a great thing.

• Assisted K76 with a suspicious person at the intersection of Main Street and McKinley Avenue. Verbal warning was given.

• Assisted K75 with a civil standby on the 400 block of Main Street.

• Citizen contact near main and McKinley regarding the driver not having a license. Cleared, NAT.

• Traffic stop at McKinley and Hill for obstructed view. Cleared, verbal after agreeing they would take the blankets down.

• LL request regarding civil standby. Cleared, public assist.

• LL request regarding Agency Assist. Cleared, other agency assist.

• Warrant arrest 300 block W. Mullan Avenue. Cleared, misdemeanor arrest.

• Landline regarding possible malicious injury to property, was able to locate, report taken.

• Traffic stop at Gold and Division for no lights, verbal.

• Traffic stop on McKinley and S. division for no lights, verbal.

• Parking ticket on Bunker Avenue for parking next to yellow curb/no parking.

• Parking complaint on Bunker Ave for vehicle parked in emergency vehicles only. The vehicle was not in the no parking zone. Cleared, unfounded.

• Called to a dog sitting on a porch not letting the people in the house out. Dog was not aggressive and was able to place it in the pound.

• Released said porch hound to owner after fees paid.

• Assisted District 2 with a fire call 400 block Main. Cleared, other agency assist.

• Traffic stop at W. Cameron/Division, verbal for equipment (headlight).

• Attempt to locate missing/lost person from the Rose Lake area, possibly in this area- elderly subject with dementia. Vehicle description given and looked for, subject was later located in Kootenai County.

• Attempt follow-up for K75.

• Civil stand-by at Shoshone Medical Center for patient discharge, stood by as subject left without incident.

• Landline regarding parking citations and ordinances, phone number left this time so contact could be made. Ticket was explained as well as where to locate city ordinances online.

• Contacted subject in front of City Hall regarding random questions.

• Landline regarding evidence (from RMIN — Rocky Mountain Information Network) reference an old case, they are sending items back.

• Office call about a juvenile that might not go home when asked. Juvenile went home when asked and K73 was not needed.

• Landline request about dog doo on sidewalks. Cleared, NAT.

• Called to suspicious persons near Panhandle Linen. Turned out to be some cigarette butt miners digging in the ash trays. Cleared, NAT.

• Vehicle theft, 100 block W. Mullan, report taken. Sent paperwork to Shoshone County Sheriff's Office for vehicle to be entered into NCIC.

• Verbal domestic, 100 block W. Mullan, unfounded.

• Attempted to locate stolen vehicle, unable to locate in Kellogg, notified county of possible locations as well.

• Dog at large 100 block of Presley. When subject called it in, the dog was running through their back yard. When located the dog had jumped the neighbors' fence and made it into their yard with their dogs. Resident was notified and removed dog from yard for transport to the pound.

• VIN inspection 600 block W. Riverside.

• Damaged property 400 block Bunker Avenue. RP will turn in paperwork if they want report done.

• Welfare check at 100 block E. Cameron Avenue. Turns out they were trying to request a welfare check in Pierce County Washington and there was some confusion. It was all settled, and the welfare check was not needed.

• Released dog from the pound.

• Parking ticket issued 800 block W. Cameron, no parking allowed south side of street.

• Landline request, reference theft. Spoke with subject and items were left inside a vehicle and owner of vehicle has not been in contact. Vehicle located somewhere in Rose Lake area, advised to contact Kootenai County once they are able to obtain specific location for vehicle/items.

• Landline request regarding threats, after gather information, this is not a case of threats… someone voicing opinion. Civil.
