Jim and Dee Miller celebrate 50th wedding anniversary
James L. Miller Jr. and Delene Mae VanVleet were united in marriage at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Wallace, Idaho, on March 27, 1971.
They have lived nearly all of their married life in their beloved Silver Valley, where they were both born and raised. They are both proud graduates of Kellogg High School, class of 1967. They have two children: Simon (Amy) Miller and Sarah Miller, who also live in the Silver Valley. Their four grandchildren, Gracie, Gia, Gemma and Gladys, bring them much joy!
Throughout their marriage, Jim and Dee have enjoyed traveling, especially to the Seattle area and to the Oregon Coast. Closer to home, a favorite destination is the Miller property on Lake Coeur d’Alene.
They have been lifelong Kellogg Wildcat fans, and over the years they have enjoyed following Kellogg Wildcat athletic teams and cheering them on.
Despite some very serious health concerns in recent years, these two are weathering the storms of life, showing a resiliency and a resolve that is to be admired. Their commitment to their Catholic faith, to their family, and to their marriage for 50 years is a wonderful legacy to their family and friends.
Congratulations, Jim and Dee!
