Yvonne Carol Perkins, 85

Yvonne Carol Perkins, 85, of Kellogg, Idaho, passed away March 23, 2021, at the Schneidmiller Hospice House in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. She was born Jan. 29, 1936, in Ironton, Ohio. Yvonne was the daughter of John and Gladys (Webb) Travis.

In 1952, Yvonne was united in marriage to Wesley Perkins in Redding, Calif. They celebrated 67 years of marriage before Wesley’s passing in 2019.

Yvonne was a hard worker spending her days in the orchards picking apples and her nights cleaning local businesses while living in Washington. In 1975, Wesley and Yvonne moved to Idaho and have called the Silver Valley home ever since.

Yvonne had a strong faith and was proud to be a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Pinehurst, Idaho. She was also a wonderful cook and baker. In her free time, she loved nothing more than spending time with her family.

Yvonne is survived by her two children, Wes Perkins Jr. and Randy (Mary) Perkins; seven grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, John Travis, Linda Miller and Reggie Travis; and numerous nieces and nephews. Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wesley; her son, Michael Perkins; and her siblings, Jerry Travis, Loretta Fausett, Judy Flather and Herb Travis.

Cremation will be held and services will be held at a later date.
