Stone becomes new Silver Valley Chamber Coordinator

KELLOGG – Visitors to the Silver Valley Chamber of Commerce office in Kellogg will see a new smiling face behind the welcome desk moving forward.

Becca Stone, the newest individual to hold the title of chamber coordinator, began her new role on May 5 and has strong familial ties to the area.

Originally from Rathdrum, Stone's great grandfather started Stein's Family Foods in Kellogg.

She and her fiancé moved to the Silver Valley in September after they bought their grandparents home.

"After the whole COVID thing happened, we wanted the kids to be in a smaller school, so we decided to move."

Her previous work experience includes working at Lakeland Eye Clinic in Rathdrum as a receptionist, billing employee, and then an optician.

As for why she chose to become the chamber coordinator, Stone explained that it has everything to do with her family.

"Having kids, I needed a job that was more flexible with the hours, so this allows me to get off of work and take my kids to where they need to go after school."

With less than a month under her belt, Stone likes the position so far due to its relaxed and stress-free nature.

Looking forward, she is excited to be coordinating events and embracing the social part of the job.

Silverhoops is especially on her radar as she is hoping that her son will participate.
