Vicki Lynn (Schaffer) Spoor

| May 28, 2021 9:45 AM

With heavy hearts, we had to say our final goodbye to Vicki Lynn (Schaffer) Spoor as she passed away, peacefully, on May 27, 2021.

There’s nothing that Vicki loved more than her family. But she did have a love for crocheting that wasn’t too far down on her list! There’s a good chance that, as you read this, you can look around your room and see something that she crocheted for you. As much as she loved to crochet it was the act of giving something that she crafted to someone she loved that gave her the most joy. Seeing you smile as she gave you that blanket or that hat, or whatever it happened to be, that’s what warmed her heart.

Let us not forget how much she loved being outdoors though! Whether it was sitting by a campfire, listening to nature while staring at the stars. Or sitting under a canopy as a thunderstorm roared in the distance and rain pounded the earth. Oh, how she loved the thunder! Perhaps though it was when she was driving an ATV in the hills when she had the most fun! There wasn’t a puddle of mud that was safe from her! Her biggest smiles stem from being caked in mud from her ride! Maybe her joy of the mud comes from her time as a jello wrestler at Sunshine Inn!?!?

Vicki was also very spiritual and believed in signs after death. She always knew when a loved one was checking in on her by how much the windchimes danced and sang in her presence even when the wind was calm, and the rest of the world was quiet. So, when you hear your windchimes perking up, just know it’s Vicki checking in on you.

Vicki is survived by her husband of 47 years, Terry Spoor; two children, Jolene Milliron and Jason Spoor; her son-in-law, John Milliron; four grandchildren, Nick, Ashley, Alyssa and Avery; two great-grandchildren, Kyrie and Lexi; her brother, Bill (Christie) Schaffer Jr. of Post Falls, Idaho; and her two sisters, Gloria (Jerry) Venters of Deer Park, Wash., and Terry (Jon) Seymour of Fernwood, Idaho; and numerous nieces and nephews. Vicki also leaves behind her most cherished gift, Brennan Duclos, and his wife Connie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Donna Schaffer; and her son, John Spoor.

Upon Vicki’s request, there will be no service. It was Vicki’s wish that any memorial tributes be made in the form of charitable donations to your favorite charity.
