With sadness in our hearts, Connie passed away Oct. 7, 2021, with her son by her side in Missoula, Mont. Connie was born to Betty and James Reid at the Wardner General Hospital in Kellogg, Idaho.

Connie graduated from Kellogg High School in the class of 1972. After graduation, she went to business school in Missoula and graduated and came back to Kellogg.

Connie’s most precious things in her life were her sons and grandson who she loved very much. Her family and friends were also a very special part of her life. Connie enjoyed life. Her favorite thing was going to the Oregon Coast. She got her wish this summer of going to the beach with Jimmy, Liz and Damien. She loved walking on the beach. She also loved to read and loved to camp on the river.

Connie leaves behind her son, James (Jimmy) Pennington (Liz Hannum) of Lolo, Mont.; her grandson, Damien Pennington of Lolo; her brother, David Reid of Big Creek, Idaho; and her sisters, Linda Rice of Missoula and Judy (Tom) Rose of Smelterville, Idaho. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews; many great- and great-great-nieces and nephews; and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her son, Greg Pennington; her parents, Betty and James Reid; her brother, Don Reid; her aunt, Leora and Harry Murray; her nephew, Wade Rice and sister-in-law Judy Reid.

A celebration of Connie’s life will be held in the spring. Connie was such a wonderful, kind and caring person, and will be so missed.
