Kellogg Police Department Roll Call: Oct. 1-13
•Paperwork to court/prosecutor for in-custody, also more stuff up to the Prosecutors Office per a request later in the day.
•Worked on getting stuff fixed/inventory of items and setup stuff for maintenance.
•Tagged vehicle 48-hour removal 200 block of Gold.
•Traffic stop at Riverside and Chestnut. Verbal for stop sign (K75).
•Traffic stop at Bunker and Railroad. Written warning stop sign (K75).
•Dispatched to the 600 block of Bunker Ave. for a disturbance. After issuing a verbal warning, K77 was called back to assist with removing individuals in question. After a short while, a bunch of incoherent gibberish, and name calling, said individuals left peacefully. You know, sometimes I wish I could show the body cam footage to the people after they sober up to show them what kind of @!#hats they are while drinking.
•Assist K76 with an Unwanted person on Howard St. UTL person gone on arrival.
•Dispatched to a prowler near Chestnut Ave. & W. Mullan Ave. Checked the area but was unable to locate individual in question.
•Called to disturbing the peace on the 600 block of S. Division. Pretty sure this is how Hatfield and McCoys started their feud (Not really, pretty sure neither one of them have a razor-backed hogs). Clear two misdemeanor cite and release.
•Welfare check on female walking in the area of Dave Smith Motors, she was code 4.
•Placed a dog in the pound found by county in Pinehurst.
•Harassment/unwanted subject at 700 block Howard. Both parties left prior to arrival, attempted contact with reporting.
•Battery call on McKinley Ave. During the investigation it turned out on subject had a warrant for his arrest. Report taken on the battery. One taken to jail on warrant.
•Musical cars (cars going in for repair/maintenance).
•Worked on stuff from Axon for Taser prep.
•Landline regarding juvenile runaway possibly being in Kellogg. This is information received last week as well, nothing new to add.
•Case follow-up.
•Fire alarm at 600 block Bunker. False alarm, pressed wrong button while testing system.
•Malicious Injury to property at 600 block Bunker. K75 took report, assisted with follow-up.
•911 open line at 600 block 2nd street. Emergency call was placed by accident while prepping bikes for a bike ride. Public assist.
•Dog at large on I90 51 picked up by someone and dropped at Vet, taken from Vet to pound...Welcome aboard K75, the dog left a present inside the vehicle...got to show him where to clean vehicles at least.
•Traffic stop at Flume and McKinley. Citation for invalid DL/no proof of insurance, written warning fail to obey traffic control device.
•Traffic stop at Flume and lower 3rd, verbal warning for stop sign.
•Dispatched to 300 block Cedar for an out-of-control juvenile. Clear, NAT.
•Verbal domestic in progress on the 100 block of W. Idaho. Clear parties were separated for the night/report taken.
•ATL a possible DUI/domestic suspect for the county UTL.
•After School patrol Bunker and Cameron Ave.
•Assist K79 with verbal domestic. 115 W Idaho.
•VIN inspection at City Hall x2 (K75).
•Landline from CDA PD regarding ongoing investigation, information exchange only, nothing new or pertinent.
•Continued Taser work.
•Abandoned vehicles x5.
•Oak and E. Riverside x3 / Oak and E. Mullan x2, all vehicles tagged. One owner notified with all others either no answer or no longer working phone numbers.
•Traffic stop at Legion & Hill. Written warning for stop sign (Bunker and Hill).
•Coffee with a cop in Smelterville.
•Assisted K77 with an unsecured door 300 block E. Idaho. Clear, agency assist.
•Life-Loc monthly performance verification complete.
•Assisted K77 & D2 with a fire on the bike path. Clear, agency assist.
•Dispatched to an open door on the 300 block of E. Idaho Ave. Checked the residence and discovered everything was A-O-K.
•Assisted District 2 Fire with a small fire on the Rails to Trails near the 3000 block of McKinley Ave.
•Landline regarding questions about leaves and leaf removal (Elder/Howard area). Also questions about ramifications for placement of leaves...no you can't pile them in your neighbor's yard. Public assist.
•Patrol vehicle to Dave Smith for maintenance.
•Equipment maintenance. Worked on getting equipment sent off for repair/replacement as well as setting up new equipment.
•Traffic stop railroad and S division Street. Cleared verbal registration.
•Traffic stop 2nd and S division Street. Clear verbal for turn signal infraction.
•911 hang up 200 block of W Cameron Ave. Clear unable to locate.
•Assisted Probation at 300 block Wildcat Way. Arrested a female for her felony dug warrant.
•Checked on the man living in the culvert near Government Gulch and Silver valley Rd. male was not home at the time.
•Dispatched to a welfare check at station and Elm for an individual asleep at the wheel of a running vehicle. Clear, felony arrest.
•Contacted a suspicious individual under the I-90 bridge on S. Division St. Discovered no crime taking place. No action was taken.
•Report of person sleeping in the culvert in the 3000 block McKinley. Contact was made and the subject was told to pack up and move along...at least to where they were no longer in the water drainage tube.
•Towed an abandoned vehicle in the area of Oak and Mission St.
•Mobile patrol Kellogg.
•Follow up on vandalism case at Silver Mt.
•Assisted K74 and K76 with convincing culvert man to choose a safer location to reside.
•Assisted a new car buyer from Dave Smith in locating our local Mexican restaurant.
•Assisted county with a suicidal subject in Pinehurst. Clear, other agency assist.
•Assisted K77 with a vehicle accident 100 block Riverside. Clear, agency assist.
•Served a written warning for a blight on the 700 block of Caledonia.
•Responded to a vehicle crash on the 100 block of W. Riverside Ave. Report was taken.
•Assisted H&W in the 300 block of E Idaho. Other agency assist.
•Land line request regarding property. Public assist.
•Dispatched to a possible verbal domestic on Howard St. called in by a delivery person. Not a domestic. Kids being loud in the house. Cleared NAT.
•Complaint of kids running around Silver Mountain. Clear, unable to locate.
•Animal complaint on the 600 block of W. Riverside. Clear, one dog put into the pound.
•Assisted District 2 Fire with a busted water pipe on the 100 block of E. Portland. Clear, other agency assist.
•Continue legal update work for SWET programming.
•Agency assist County on traffic stop, Burke Rd in the 500 block. Cancelled prior to leaving Kellogg as ISP arrived to assist.
•Noise complaint 200 block of Gold St. Spoke to owner and they stated the issue will be corrected.
•Assisted District 2 fire with a fire alarm on the 600 block of Bunker. Clear other agency assist.
•Paperwork to court/prosecutor.
•Computer work / Taser work.
•VIN Inspection x4 at 400 block W. Riverside. Public assist.
•Unattended death at 600 block Bunker Avenue. Nothing nefarious suspected from the investigation, preliminary is natural causes. Family notified as there is no living next of kin. Report taken.
•Trespassed the Beard man from 76 gas station.
•Trespassed The Firefighter groupie from Silver Mt Resort.
•Tagged a camp trailer for tow on Oregon and Mission. Expired plates and broken windows.
•Tagged White Ford explorer by the city park on Railroad Ave. No plates.
•Assist K75 with trespassing the Beard Man from 76 gas station.
•Vehicle pursuit heading toward Kellogg on I-90. Vehicle at MP 20 (runs to Durango and sets up at MP 49 on ramp.) Vehicle now at MP 25 (puts seat belt on). Now at Mp 30 (puts on gloves). Vehicle now at MP35 (puts on helmet). Vehicle took the Cataldo exit (sad face). No demolition derby for K73 today.
•Landline. Questions regarding laws (Idaho) for a person out of State. After speaking with person, believe this was already reported/investigated and will be looking into this for further. Based on information given, no crime was committed. Public assist.
•VIN inspection at Kellogg City Hall. Public assist.
•Landline regarding found property at 600 block Bunker Avenue. This is property related to investigation (death) from yesterday. Property was collected and added into the evidence room.
•Landline regarding fraud/theft. After gathering information, referred to other agency as this is taking place outside Kellogg (Bonner County/Sandpoint area). Will follow-up tomorrow to see what the other agency(s) had to offer, report is needed to assist Bank (also not in Kellogg) for their investigation.
•Unwanted subject 200 block Oregon, referred to oncoming shift (end of shift call came in).
•Landline request about wanting a person trespassed. Made contact with the bearded man and trespassed him from Angel Wings. He was not happy and told me to "have a nice day" several times during our conversation.
•SKOL. Even if it was Detroit. A win is a win.
