Kellogg City Council Position 2: Robin Ray
Robin Ray, Republican, is running for the position of city council in the city of Kellogg and is running against Monica Miller for the open position.
Ray, 42, has an associate’s degree in computer networking systems technology, and currently works as an insurance professional in Kellogg.
Ray, along with her two daughters, call Kellogg home — and her involvement in her community is what has prompted her to seek election.
“I have 12 years’ experience in organizing and running community events,” she said. “I am driven and explore all options to improve whatever it is that I’m working on. My goal is to be the people's voice and preserve the small town America way of life while also exploring ideas on how to grow our economy.”
Ray has an extensive athletic background, including years of softball and is a world champion powerlifter, she is also a U.S. patent owner and has founded two nonprofit organizations.
As a longtime resident, Ray sees specific issues that she hopes to tackle if she is elected.
“I believe the key issues right now are the lack of affordable housing for local residents,” she said. “The strain on our local infrastructure, and bringing businesses to our community to support the inflation rates and increased property values.”
