Osburn City Council Candidate: Brian L. Kolczak

| October 21, 2021 12:52 PM

Brian L. Kolczak, 50, is running for one of two open Osburn City Council positions and plans to “work closely with the city council and the citizens to help maintain Osburn's status as the best city in the Silver Valley to live in" if elected.

His immediate family includes his wife, Lori A. Kolczak, a firefighter/paramedic; and daughter, Bella L. Kolczak, a student at Wallace Jr./Sr. High School.

As for education, Kolczak is a Wallace High School graduate and has both a college degree and a HVAC tech.

He currently works for the city of Kellogg Public Works Department and was formerly enlisted with the U.S. Navy. After his honorable discharge, he received a Meritorious Unit Accommodation from the VFW. He also was on the Dean's List during college and trade school as a non-traditional student.

Kolczak believes the main issues associated with the position are maintaining and improving public works and public safety.

"For most of my life, I was interested in being anywhere but in the Silver Valley," he said. "After having a child, I realized the only place I would want to raise her was in this community. Specifically, Osburn (where I grew up). I am ready to dedicate my time and effort to keep Osburn the best place to live and raise our families."
