Darlene B. Valois, 94

Surrounded by family, our beloved mom, grandma, great-grandma and friend passed away peacefully on Oct. 23, 2021.

She will be forever cherished and remembered by her children, Micheal Valois (Mike), Robert Valois (Bob) and Denise Valois-Morris; five grandchildren, Chad Wild, Chris Mortellaro, Danielle Valois-Partyka, Jason Valois and Tiffany Vucinich; and six beautiful great-grandchildren.

Darlene was born May 11, 1927, in Clinton, Iowa. She was raised and grew up in Des Moines, Iowa, with her father, Sherman Leonard and mother Lottie Mikles. Darlene moved to Glendale, Calif., to work at Howard Hughes Aircraft company as an aircraft electrical inspector. While in California, Darlene met her husband, Jean J. Valois, of 44-plus years.

Darlene was loved and adored by everyone. “We will all miss your beautiful smile and that caring tender heart. We love you, Darlene, may you Rest in Peace.”

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 5, 2021, at Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d'Alene Chapel, 744 N. Fourth St., Coeur d'Alene, with a public viewing at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow the funeral at Riverview Cemetery, 1010 Lincoln Way, Coeur d’Alene.
