Size: 12,166

Containment %: 71%

Firefighters Injuries: 14

Structures Threatened: 211

Highlights: Wednesday’s unseasonably high temperatures and strong winds increased fire behavior near the Fancy and Bedrock Gulch area of Eagle, Idaho. An indirect dozer line was installed near Fancy Gulch to combat the fire backing west towards Eagle Creek. Air Attack demonstrated to be essential for the fire activity on Wednesday and will continue to provide support as needed. Burn-out operations may occur to strengthen containment lines south of Bedrock Gulch. Smoke columns and fire will remain visible near Prichard Creek, Eagle Creek, Murray, and Babins Junction. Fireline closest to Murray, including the 939 road, has proven to be effective and has led to the initial phase of mop up. Suppression repair activities continue in the western portion of the Deceitful fire.

Weather: Thursday will bring cooler temperatures ahead of the cold front for Friday. The forecast for Friday evening into Saturday is a high chance of wetting rain to the fire area. This weekend will bring cooler, more seasonal temperatures, along with breezy winds.
