Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, Rose Marie Storjohann, 82, of Mullan, Idaho, passed away Sept. 27, 2021, at the Schneidmiller Hospice House with her family by her side. She was born Oct. 3, 1939, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Rose was the daughter of Leonard and Loraine (House) Nickelby.

Rose grew up in the Silver Valley where she attended and graduated from Wallace High School, class of 1957. Rose went on to earn her LPN in nursing in 1959. She practiced nursing, raising her family, while working at Terry’s Texico, the family service station business.

On July 15, 1961, Rose was united in marriage to Terry Storjohann in Wallace, Idaho. Together, they raised two children. Terry sadly passed away in 2011 after 49 years of marriage.

Rose was very involved in the community and was a member of the Eagles and the Wallace Lady Elks. Rose was honored in 2003 as the Lady Elk of the year. When Rose wasn’t volunteering her time to the community, she could be found spending time with her family, fishing, camping, huckleberry picking, bowling or playing pinochle.

Rose is survived by her two children, Marvin Storjohann and his wife, Paullette, and Tammy Fritz and her husband, Karl; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; her brother, Ted Nickelby and his wife, Patricia; and numerous nieces and nephews. Rose was preceded in death by her parents, husband; and her siblings, Richard and Jane.

Per Rose’s wishes, cremation will take place and a private family service will be held.
