Sonia Lee Lloyd, 54

Beloved mother, daughter, sister and teacher, Sonia Lee Lloyd, 54, of Cataldo, Idaho, passed away April 13, 2022, at her home in Cataldo.

She was born May 29, 1967, in Spokane, Wash. Sonia was the daughter of Jerry and Marlene (Bowman) Lloyd. Sonia attended and graduated from Post Falls High School. She then furthered her education at North Idaho College and the University of Idaho, receiving her Masters Degree in Special Education.

Sonia moved to the Silver Valley area 24 years ago from Post Falls. She served as a Special Education Teacher at Pinehurst Elementary School for 18 years. Sonia was a member of the Idaho Education Association and was a cheer coach at Kellogg High School for a period of time.

Sonia loved her family. She also enjoyed gardening, animals, hiking, huckleberry picking, photography and painting.

Sonia is survived by two daughters: Crystal Chambliss and Alania Chambliss. Also her father Jerry Lloyd.

A Celebration of Sonia’s Life will be held at 2 p.m., on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at the Kellogg Elks. This will be a potluck, welcome to family and friends.

Sonia had a wonderful sense of humor. She was fun-natured and brave. She was so loved by her family and will be greatly missed.
