PUBLIC NOTICE The Basin Environmental Improvement Project Commission (BEIPC) Quarterly Meeting and Site Tour August 17, 2022 The Basin Environmental Improvement Project Commission (BEIPC) will conduct a regular quarterly in-person meeting and Upper Basin Tour 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM on August 17, 2022, at the Kellogg Office of the Panhandle Health District, 35 Wildcat Way, Kellogg, Idaho. The morning meeting will include approval of the May 18, 2022, meeting minutes, discussions of the Institutional Controls Program IDEQ Statute Process and Lower Basin Waste Consolidation Area Study, and updates on Migratory Waterfowl Impacts in the Lower Basin, CDA Lake Water Quality Work and the National Academy of Science Study, and the August 2022 Blood Lead screening event. A Public comment period after the presentations will be held. The Tour will begin at the PHD office at 11:35 AM with bus loading beginning at 11:15 AM. The Tour will include stops at the Central Treatment Plant Overlook in Kellogg, Kellogg City Park for lunch, and environmental cleanup sites in Ninemile and Canyon Creek Drainages. Drinking water will be provided with participants providing their own lunches. Rest stops along the way will be provided. The meeting draft agenda is posted at the BEIPC office, 1005 W. STATE TIMBER SALE CR300724, GOAT CREEK SALVAGE A public oral auction will be conducted at the Idaho Department of Lands office, 1806 Main Avenue, St. Maries, ID 83861, at 9:00 a.m. local time, on Thursday, August 11, 2022 for an estimated 5,760 MBF of timber marked or otherwise designated for cutting. In addition, there is an unestimated volume of forest products that may be removed at the option of the purchaser. Prior to bidding, eligible bidders shall present a certified check or bank draft payable to Idaho Department of Lands, or a bid bond acceptable to the State, in the amount of $19,233.30 which is 10% of the appraised net sale value of $192,333.00. The successful bidder's deposit will be forfeited to the State should the bidder fail to complete the contract. The State will not accept bids from parties who are delinquent on payments on existing state contracts. The average starting minimum bid price is $49.83 per MBF. The sale is located within Sections 12 & 13, Township 42N, Range 04E; and Sections 7, 8, 17, 18, & 19, Township 42N, Range 05E, B.M., Shoshone County, State of Idaho. Sale duration is 3 years. The sale may include blowdown and/or insect and disease infected timber which may result in additional volume and recovery reductions.
