Barbara Jean (Adam) Clapp, 79

Barbara Jean (Adam) Clapp, 79, of Osburn, Idaho, our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away Aug. 4, 2022, at Good Samaritan Society — Silverwood Village in Silverton, Idaho.

Barb was born March 18, 1943, in Wallace, Idaho, to the late John and Thelma Adam. A lifelong resident of the Silver Valley, “Bobby” (as she was known in her younger years) graduated from Wallace High School, Class of 1961. Shortly thereafter, after meeting George Clapp, the two were married in September 1961.

Barb loved her family dearly. She dedicated herself to raising her family and baby-sitting her grandsons. She was very active with The March of Dimes as the chairperson for many years.

In addition to her parents, Barb is preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Clapp.

Barb is survived by her loving husband, George Clapp of Osburn; daughter Lisa (Shawn) Ellison of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; son Bruce (Angela) Clapp of Lewiston, Idaho; four grandchildren, Derek Ellison of Seattle, Wash., Connor (Bryce) Ellison of Post Falls, Idaho, and AnnaLia and Gabriella Clapp of Lewiston; and two great-grandchildren, Ava and Bennett Ellison.

A celebration of Barb’s life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022, at her daughter’s residence in Coeur d’Alene. Please contact the family for address and any information.
