Beverly Joan Tinker, 86

| August 17, 2022 3:30 PM

Beverly Joan Tinker, 86, of Meridian, Idaho, and formerly of Pinehurst, Idaho, devoted wife, mother and sister, sadly passed away Aug. 13, 2022. Joan was born in Shannon County, Mo., on May 22, 1936, a daughter of the late Virgil Busset and Violet Best Busset.

She met her husband, JC Tinker and was married in St. Louis in September 1956. They raised three beautiful children in Pinehurst — Terry, Danny and Karen. They were married for 25 years when JC passed away in December 1981.

Joan was a loving Mom. She was devoted to God and shared her faith with her family, friends and strangers alike. She opened her home to foreign exchange students from Korea through her church. She was a Sunday school teacher and a Missionette leader.

She was artistically gifted and used charcoals and oil paints to create her visions. She had an ability to conceptualize how to remodel homes through destruction, reconstruction and design. She could have been a wonderful architect, given the chance. Her creativity spilled over into photography as she captured beautiful pictures of flowers and the scenic outdoors through her lens. She was captivated by genealogy and uncovered “many relatives back to the 1800s.”

Joan was an enthusiastic and engaged mother and grandmother, she had a special relationship with her children, Terry (Eddie), Danny (Sharon) and Karen (Joe); her grandchildren, Christopher, Courtney, Michael, Eain, Shauna, Ashley and Faith, and 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her two brothers, Pearl and Rex. Joan is preceded by her husband, JC; and her parents, Virgil and Violet Bussert.

We are all grateful for the time we shared with her. She was sincere, gracious and beloved by all that knew her. She will be missed terribly. Rest in peace, Joan.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022, at Real Life Ministries in Pinehurst. Burial will follow at Hunt Cemetery in Kingston, Idaho.
