VIDEO: Slight showers and thunderstorms here most of the week
It won't be nearly as hot this week, with today breaking a 7-day streak of 90+ in Spokane. This is largely thanks to more cloud cover and a chance for light rain showers during the morning and midday hours for the Inland Northwest.
The showers have mainly been over southeastern Washington and north-central Idaho through the Monday morning hours. They're moving northeastwards and will have just a scattered chance for Spokane and CDA around the late morning or noon hours. Thunderstorms will be limited, with most of the activity expected over the Blue Mountains.
The unsettled weather pattern will continue intermittently Monday through Thursday. Tuesday's best storm chances will be in northern Washington during the afternoon. Wednesday's storms will be scattered between northern WA, eastern WA, and northern ID. Then Thursday is back to northern WA. The key here is that the mountains and terrain will have by far the best chance to disturb the atmosphere and pop the most storms.
