Douglas Arthur White, 68

Douglas Arthur White, 68, of Pinehurst, Idaho, passed away Aug. 30, 2022, at Kootenai Health in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Douglas was born on May 28, 1954, in Walla Walla, Wash., a son of the late Douglas Joseph White Jr., and Betty Ann Prieve White.

After graduating high school, Douglas enlisted in the U.S. Army and made a career in the service. He eventually retired from the U.S. Army. He enjoyed woodworking, doing many projects for people and never charged them a penny. He was also quite the handyman who could fix just about anything.

Douglas is survived by four sons, Michael White, Bryan White, both of Post Falls, Idaho, Cody White and Travis White, both of Kentucky; a brother, Gregory White of Pinehurst; and two sisters, Kathy Shell of California and Debbie Shell of Utah. He is also survived by several grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

At Douglas’ request, cremation will take place and services will be planned for a later date.
