KINGSTON CATALDO SEWER DISTRICT PUBLIC MEETING In recent months, the Kingston-Cataldo Sewer District has been in the process of preparing and finalizing a Wastewater Facility Plan. Completion of a Facility Plan is a requirement which must be fulfilled prior to construction of system improvements and receiving funding from various regulatory agencies. The District has already received significant grant funding from the American Rescue Plan Act (facilitated through Idaho Department of Environmental Quality). As part of that planning and funding process, a public meeting is required to discuss the proposed improvements, much like was discussed at prior public meetings. To fulfill the funding requirements, the Kingston Cataldo Sewer District will hold a public meeting on January 11, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at the District Office Building (42784 Silver Valley Road, Kingston, Idaho). The purpose of the public meeting is to present recommendations for improvements from the Kingston Cataldo Wastewater Facility Plan. The meeting will present the wastewater system analysis, proposed improvements, discuss the associated environmental impacts, funding, and potential financial outcome for the District, as well as solicit verbal and written comments regarding the plan. Written comments will be accepted by the District from December 20, 2022 to January 11, 2023.
