Annette 'Nettie' M. James, 75

Annette “Nettie” Marie James, 75, of Pinehurst, Idaho, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, passed away Dec. 16, 2022, at Mountain Valley of Cascadia in Kellogg, Idaho. Nettie was born on Sept. 15, 1947, in Kellogg, a daughter of the late Harold and Wanda (Montgomery) Curry.

Nettie married William James in 1979. She was a longtime member of the Silver Valley Stitchers, where she quilted many beautiful quilts, and was also an excellent seamstress. She loved classic TV shows, especially the "Carol Burnett Show" and "I Love Lucy," and was a fan of old western movies. She also enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles to help keep her mind sharp.

In addition to her parents, Nettie is preceded in death by a son, Robert Marang, who passed away in 2003.

Survivors include her husband, William “Bill” James of Pinehurst, Idaho; a son, Jody Marang of Pinehurst; a sister, Leslie Knapp of Pinehurst; as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2022, at Shoshone Funeral Services, 106 S. Main St., Kellogg, with Father Jerome Montez officiating. A reception will follow the services at the parish hall of St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Kellogg. Private burial will be at Shoshone Memorial Gardens in Pinehurst.
