| February 10, 2022 10:57 AM

The March 8, 2022, Election will determine the school levy’s for both Kellogg School District No. 391 and Wallace School District No. 393.

Shoshone County will allow for both in-person voting at the polls, as well as absentee voting. Applications for Absentee Ballots must be received by the County Clerk no later than 5 p.m. Feb. 25, for the March 8 Election.

COVID-19 is still impacting the nation, including right here in Shoshone County.

Shoshone County Clerk Tamie Lewis-Eberhard encourages all voters to consider registering for absentee ballots to limit the spread of the virus.

We will be co-locating the Murray Precinct with the Shoshone County Courthouse in the Recorder's Office, due to the inability to social distance in the Murray Precinct located at the Murray Road Shop.

These residents will have the option of voting in person at the courthouse, in the Recorders Office or they can opt for absentee voting by registering for an absentee ballot which will then be sent to their primary residence.

“Once we receive the absentee ballot request form, we will verify that the voter information is complete and we will mail the voter the requested ballot in the mail, including the envelope to return it to us,” Lewis-Ebergard said. “We must receive it back no later than March 8 at 8 p.m.”

For those citizens wishing to vote in-person, 6-foot social distancing and masks or face shields will be highly recommended at all polling locations.

The plexiglass screens will be in place and election staff will be required to routinely disinfect all surfaces.

”Our goal is to keep everyone working the election and those coming in to cast their vote as safe as possible,” Lewis-Eberhard said. “Whether you cast your vote in-person or via absentee voting, please cast your vote in the March Election.”
