Richard “Rick” Roy Turpen, 74

Richard “Rick” Roy Turpen (age 74) of Wallace, Idaho passed away Jan. 8, 2022.

Born March 27, 1947 in Kellogg, Idaho to Vera and John Sr Turpen. He graduated from West Valley High School in 1965. Rick went on to spend 4 years in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Kittyhawk during the Vietnam War. After his time with the Navy, he also spent 35+ years working at Deaconess Medical Center central services departments.

He was proceeded in death by his Ex-Wife and best friend Patrica Stapleton, he is survived by their two children and their spouses: Michael and Charity Turpen, Terri (Turpen) and Thomas Pease; his four grandchildren: Tyler and his fiancé Elizabeth, Amanda and her fiancé Dylan, Alexis and her fiancé Tyler, and Zoey; his five great-grandchildren Kandice, Elaynna, Levi, Addison and Novella, his brother John Jr., and his many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial services will be held Jan. 20, at 1 p.m. at Spokane Cremation & Funeral Service, 2832 North Ruby. Family is requesting flowers sent to Spokane Cremation.
