Aaron 'Snuffy' Blake Peterson, 41

Beloved son, brother and uncle, Aaron “Snuffy” Blake Peterson, 41, of Smelterville, Idaho, passed away at his home. He was born July 31, 1980, in Silverton, Idaho. He was the son of Edward A. and Bonnie J. (Bailey) Peterson.

Aaron has lived in the Silver Valley all of his life. He attended and graduated from Kellogg High School in 1998.

Aaron had worked in building construction for a time. But for many years, he has served as a hoistman for the Bunker Hill Mining Company.

Aaron loved and enjoyed fishing, riding his bike, floating the river, watching UFC Fighting and snowboarding.

Aaron is survived by his mother, Bonnie Peterson and her husband, Steve Philpot of Kellogg, Idaho; his father, Ed Peterson and his wife, JoAnn of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; two brothers, Dusty Peterson and his wife, Amy of Coeur d’Alene, and Derek Peterson of Elko, Nev.; one niece, Lily and one nephew, Wade.

Memorial services for Aaron will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at the Kellogg Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Art Fleming officiating. A reception and a gathering of family and friends will be held at the Kellogg Elks following services.

Aaron was compassionate and a nice young man; he was shy with a gentle soul. Aaron will be so missed by his family and friends.
